Anderson has been a historical underperformer offensively in the playoffs. His current output is what should be expected from him during these games rather than any sort of unlucky streak.

He doesn't have the puck skills to drive a line offensively, during the regular season his goal scoring comes from opportunistic chances, especially on rushes to score. Those can be rare to come buy during the tighter post season play and so he routinely is kept off the scoreboard

Except this isn't true. All of the Leafs core forwards out produced Andersen during the Leafs-Habs series.

If the ultimate goal is to win the cup, than yes Anderson’s ahead of the game, and he still might surprise you because he still has at least two games left to prove you wrong. Leafs, not so much. Winners win, losers golf.

I wouldn’t mind if we signed Palmeri to a deal, moved Nylander back with Matthews and run JT/Palmeri 2nd line.
Move Marner to acquire a solid anchor on D and rebuild the 3rd line NY/Boston/Tampa style.

Why not stick Nylander or Marner on the 3rd line and outdo the NY/Boston/Tampa style?

Tavares spent most of his Islanders career turning AHLers into $5M players and Matthews is no doubt capable of running his own line.

Even if the Habs are swept, if the games mirror the last game I’ll be satisfied, it’s pretty intense hockey for a final. I find the quarter and semi finals are always more intense. By the final everyone’s injured and burned out, but still very intense.
