You are right. Ironically the Leafs had a bad playoffs and are expected to have a good regular season whereas the Habs had a great playoffs and many expect them not to make the playoffs next year.

Florida however seems to be trending up. They will get Ekblad back, Bennett for the whole season, Bob and Knight should give them solid goaltending and they have coach Q. We'll see.

I think Florida has a good team. I'm expecting them to make the playoffs next year.

Anyone hear what Elliott saying about Yanni Gourde and the Leafs in the pregame?

Edit: just went back on Sportsnet now.
Undrafted from Q, signed AHL with Syracuse and in 2017 Calder Cup beat Marlies, he was a UFA and Elliott thinks Toronto wanted to sign him before Yzerman swooped in.

Not that interesting I guess.

wildcard will probably come down to Leafs vs Habs in game 82, winner gets it. and Leafs will choke

metro is pretty solid too man. wildcard is not gonna be that easy

metro got: caps, pens, canes, rangers, isles

also probaby not popular opinion but i think sens are gonna be a threat all year long. I think they improve quite a bit next season

Who else is watching? Regardless of shot totals, looks like Tampa is dominating again.

yes but the habs are getting a lot of odd man rushes from Tampa turnovers. if they keep this up, the habs will capitalize. tampa needs to be better IMO, especially since it looks like Price is on his game.

edit: Seath beat me to it.

I don't see that.

Tampa's up by a goal - no big deal. Somebody had to score first.

Meanwhile Mtl is way ahead in shots.

I'd call it pretty much even so far. Still very early.
Yeah my take went to shit quite rapidly haha

Still don’t know how MTL wins this series though, they’ll need 4 of 6 against the best team in hockey. It’s 1-1 and Tampa is asleep so Habs need to capitalize here
