That poster is a notorious hot-take artist. I don't think he's even a Leafs fan, much less a Dubas fan.The straw man arguments that the Dubas fan club has for their points is really incredible.

Hahahaha. K.Trotz has done all the work, not Lou.

Shots were 31-31. Did that totally bore you?
you mean "the kid that won the Calder"Barzal is quickly becoming my choice for most underrated and under appreciated player in the league.
That was all Trotz.you mean "the kid that won the Calder"![]()
Uh, no? I give Lou credit for bringing in Trotz even if it was a pretty dam obvious thing to do and the Pageau trade and signing. That's all he has really done that's significant. And let me guess. If the Islanders end up losing this series or in the cup final, it will be Lou's failure right?
Really? What significant players has Lou brought in? Pageau. That's it. He brought in Varlamov but that could have easily backfired too, very risky play.Hahahaha. K.
Gotta feel prety good knowing your best players have a "team first" attitude instead of a "(f*** you pay) me first attitude."
Very good of you to "willingly admit" Dubas isn't perfect. That shouldn't be up for debate. It shouldn't take any emotion or heartache to admit he's not perfect. He's proper f***ed this up. For all the Dubas fanboys playing down everything Lou has accomplished to prop their boy up, he just keeps on trucking, and keeps going further.Really? What significant players has Lou brought in? Pageau. That's it. He brought in Varlamov but that could have easily backfired too, very risky play.
I'm also willing to admit Dubas isn't perfect but to act like Lou is some amazing GM who has done amazing work over there when it's clear Trotz has been the biggest difference, is just crazy.
Only reason you can't watch is because they're winning lol. Had the isles been losing games and been eliminated you'd be claiming like an expert how poor the Islanders game play is.Their attitude is 'let's make the game unwatchable because the refs will not penalize our obstruction'

Isles just continue to show you don't need to needlessly rush the puck and make fancy passes to win in the playoffs
Yes that's literally the playoffs in most sports.rushing the puck and speed don't matter in the playoffs?
So the game's supposed to get slower?

Of the top 30 regular season leading scorers only Mark Stone of Vegas the last man standing.
The take away is that lots of skilled players during the regular season score on the rush and use their speed and skill to generate offense. coming through the middle of the ice.
In the playoffs good defensive teams clog up the middle, and disrupt the attach, and take away time and space, and you'd better be a good dump and chase team that generates offense off of hard work on the boards, and down low on the cycle, winning physical 50/50 puck battles. This nullifies talent and emphasizes hard work and compete.
Pilling up lots of regular season personal stats and points is not transferable to playoff style hockey unless you're equipped to change your systems and your game. The most successful teams appear to ones that play playoff style winning hockey all year and not just in the playoffs.
In playoffs, they do. Thats why value is based on winning.Pay every player the same wage. Truly balance it out.
Trotz has done all the work, not Lou.
So? Getting Trotz was an obvious move, that's all I'm saying.LMAO
Trotz is on record saying he went to Isles because of Lou. Trotz wanted to work with Lou

Some of you guys are way too salty in here lol. I'm glad I don't let the results of the playoffs affect me for weeks on end.
I’m sure every Isle fan can’t wait to watch the next one.
