I think they were better when they had Laine. Dubois seems completely useless.

Just one of the most full blown lose-lose trades I have seen in a long time.

Might be a Karmo M.O. That Anderson for Domi trade is rough for both sides. Domi is a headcase, and Anderson has one of the worst deals in the league, and has been awful this season besides a hot first 2-3 weeks of the year.

Well, it looks like we have inadvertently catapulted the Habs into the semifinals with our meltdown.

I thought the Habs would win this series, but I am shocked at how inept the Jets have looked against them.

I hope Matthews, Marner and co. are watching closely and lamenting what could have been.

They're probably spending their days golfing and their nights playing video games.

Don't know if this fits here but, nice to see the Canadian Government allowing kids to cross the border to play a game but I can't see my sick father without paying 3 grand and quarantining for 14 days. Isn't there something wrong with this picture?

Sorry to hear that. I hope you can see your father soon. One of the worst consequences of the lockdowns and border closures is not being able to be there for loved ones when they need you. I empathize.

The real eye opener will be when a north division team faces off against an American team for the first time this year.
And that’s what most level headed people suggested as soon as the covid divisions were drawn up. Only it was supposed to be us who were supposed to take that test after what essentially should have been a two round bye/warmup.

The Leafs only generated fewer than 6 high danger chances in one game all year, and it was game 7 against Montreal. I don't know if I'd say they didn't show up at all since they didn't surrender many high danger chances either, but they just looked terrified of trying to generate anything and just let Montreal have a very boring and easy game 7. For a team built the way they are to completely give up trying to create anything offensively in the most important game of the year, something is clearly very wrong

Perhaps what you point out is indeed the key problem with our game 7's over the past few years. When we get to that point, the team tried to play a mistake-less game. The game becomes whoever makes the first mistake lose. And the team has basically lost all its edge once they decide to play this way.

You can see in the two comebacks, in game 5 and game 6, when they suddenly felt free and play more like themselves when they were down, because they no longer needed to play cautiously.

Jake Debrusk is benched today. When coach actually makes changes to shake things up

We changed one player we shouldn't have. Dermott

It's not you...there have been a bunch these playoffs...which points to the fact that it's never a bad idea to shoot the puck on net.

You mean it's not a good idea to circumnavigate around the net looking for alternative openings in the side and rear?

I is f***in laughing at y'all who wasn't with me FOR LOU KOMAROV AND MARTIN!!! :biglaugh:

THEY LOU AND KOMAROV AND MARTIN IS SO MUCH MORE BETTER TEAM THAN WE IS. MOVING ON IN THE PLAYOFFS. AGAIN. AGAIN. AGAIN. EVERY YEAR. FURTHER THAN US. THE PROOF IS THERE:

WE IS NOT MOVING ANYWHERE. WE IS DOLLS. WE IS NOT LOU: WE IS NOT KOMAROV. WE IS NOT MARTIN. LOU TOOK ALL OF THEM WITH HIM.

We is losers. soft dolls. WITH THE MONEY. Handle that. I and Lou know bout ice hockey, sire.
