How the heck did the Habs suddenly become this defensive juggernaut that was able to stop the Leafs from scoring and now is stopping a very good Jets offense from scoring?!

We give credit to Price, but it doesn't even seem like he's had much to do the past few games alot of the time. Habs defense is suddenly so good and if they win tonight I want to see if they can keep this kind of play going against a good American team.

This says less about the Habs being a defensive juggernaut and more about the North division being garbage, one dimensional teams that crumble against any actual defense.

I’m not sure if I’m respecting Montreal more or my utter disgust for other North teams has gone through the roof

also, palmieri looking like a stud... hall looks pretty good this post season..

As a whole Rask has been very good, much better than Varlamov.

Measuring save percentage would ignore some very important context. Tonight, only the Barzal one he might have had. The others were good and opportunistic play by the Isles.

The Islanders have gone to Sorokin a few times because Varlamov has been giving up a stinker in almost every game. They’ve just won in spite of it.
Eberle goal was stoppage.

The Jets are an awful 5 on 5 team and missing their best player

Used to think he was an old dumb dinosaur with his short hair, no beard, no ads/sponsorship stuff but looks like I was the dummy.

Lou builds good teams, with a strong culture and produces results often. Great GM
He did fail as a mentor to you know who.

Sometimes I think they run the drop pass and circle back play cause they're trying to game the distance skated metrics.

They must be foolin' Dubas into giving them great contracts...dang, look at those possession numbers! :sarcasm:

Could be right, but we'll find out soon enough if the Habs win tonight and see how they do against a non-North division team.

Also look at Boston. Down 2 goals and they still keep fighting and attacking and never give up. Win or lose this game the Bruins rarely look out of a game even when they're down. I wish the Leafs could be more like this. :(

Credit to their small puck carrying dmen. You just can't draft enough.:sarcasm:

Komarv and martin killing it BIG TYME AGAIN SIRE. Like they always do. Martin has played every isles playoff game since 2013, think about it.

What has dubas and his dolls do? Golf and consol games, with the big money.

I love it, keep all of our shanahanas, dubasess and coaches. They cool. Dolls, not hard. The core too. We have DOLLS SIRE. Not komarovs nore martins. They always succeed further. Like montreal does.

Are those dolls made of fine porcelain? Be gentle, they are fragile...:sarcasm:

Helps to have a top line that takes team friendly contracts so you can build a complimentary team.

I am extremely jealous of all teams with stars that would rather win than make a couple extra bucks.

That is their culture and it rubs off on players e.g. Hall. Here why go through a wall for min money when players making 10x the money don't show up every night.

Really don't see what's so special about Caulfield
Well, hasn't broken out yet. But he did score nearly a goal a game last season. And he did destroy Matthews' single season scoring record in ushdp, as well as Kessel's 2 season mark.

F yeah milord. You already know. Hard. I got nothing new to add to these type of intelligent posts sire. You already know, BOUT LIFE. And hockey while we at it. Its' so ironic to follow all these playoffs EVERY SINGLE YEAR with the LOU with his KOMMYS AND MARTINS. Now montreal got our ASS too.

When will they learn though? I might add one mo thang to this: This is just facts: We will have a women playing for our team before 2031 in toronto before we win a cup. And I ain't commenting if that's a bad or good thang. I'm just sayin: THIS WILL HAPPEN. See to it. sire. I love life. Toronto goes on another route mayne. A whole nother route sire.

Bruins making this comeback somehow would show the universes between their core and ours. We’d have given up on 5-2 probably curled up as a ball and put 25-30 shots on net in total and lost 5-2
