Nobody did less with more than Dubas. He's easily #1 Leafs killer. Him and Shanahan.

It's mind-boggling how bad he was. It took a long time for a lot of people to see the light on Dubas around here.

I'm generally pretty indifferent toward executives, didn't have strong opinions on Burke, Nonis, or Lou before him or even Treliving now. But Dubas rubbed me the wrong way pretty much right from that start.

Not defending Dubas but our top guys are chokers compare them to McD and Drai. Only some here believe AM is close to McD and MM is better than Drai. This playoffs just show the World that McD and Drai are Superman and Batman instead of Nightwing and Robin like our guys.

Mitch Marner is the most over-rated player in the NHL...never hit 100 pts, scores an average of 24 goals over 8 seasons....and an avg of 80 points over same period..a playoff flop...and now he wants $12 plus million on his next contract...that's freakin' laughable.
Absolute Loser .org

10.8 for 24 goals.

comedy.

everyone having fun outside Rogers place.

And I'm watching the Oilers do things the Leafs seem incapable of.

That's fine. But Dubas was steadfast in keeping the core around despite repeated playoff failures. Literally the only time he wavered in the slightest was in his final press conference where he coincidentally got himself fired lol.

For part of that time I was a mod on here and I used a different computer for HF while watching the games so i wouldn't pollute the HF computer with porn and streaming viruses lol. It was so hockey nerd. I was a better fan back then though, I watched way more games. Not smart, but more attentive.

I remember how we would argue with mooseOAK about how the team needed to legit rebuild and he was having none of it. Then there was Big Mama, a random Ian White homer for some reason. Frankie was the opposite of moose, he hated everything. Zeke would come up with any nonsense stat that could make the Leafs look better than they actually were. Squiffy, Northern Dancer and LL would get on Rand's case for not being part of the BWO.

Good times. Good times? The team was shit. But in a way, good times.

Different eras, different problems and a lot of old familiar names for sure.

I think the Oilers are going to win the Cup.

That might be embarrassing enough to stimulate change in Toronto, and if it does, I'll deal with the Oilers winning as best I can.

If the Oilers win the Cup and we re-sign Marner they might have to literally ban me because I'll be a living hell in every way.

And that's partly why I hate Dubas. His belief in the core. I never did. I know soft when I see it. Marner, at a minimum, should have been moved long ago when his value was the highest. And Tavares never should have happened. If you have money to blow on a UFA, wait for a better one.

Hyman is 10x the player in the playoffs than Malthews, Greedlander, John "JT Day" Tavares, and Crying Mitch, combined.

Oh my God, can you guys quit it. It’s like you guys have amnesia, Hyman’s performance against MTL was legit one of the worst playoff performances I’ve watched ever. He couldn’t shoot a puck in the net if his life depended on it. Hands of stone. Hyman had one playoff goal in each of his 5 playoff runs in Toronto.

He looks very solid this year though. And has figured it out in Edmonton, Good for him, but y’all acting like he’s Jesus reincarnated.
