There was talk of a buyout, but that doesn't do the team any favors for next season to carry 2m of dead space, so it looks like they just shuffled another off to Robidas Island.

They did lie.. may have started as an oversight, but then when it came to a head they lied and said Dadonov didn't submit his no trade list, when in fact he did and he/his agent had proof they submitted it.

By taking a non playoff team and having them sit out of the playoffs 9 games into the season?I can't help but laugh when I see the Eastern Conference standings and how the incompetence of that clueless GMof theirs is finally be exposed for the fraud that he is.

Good to know, however I still think Vegas or any other team should do their due diligence and not take one’s word for it. That’s why you have lawyers on retainer…….

The due diligence for VGK was supposed to be asking, on the trade call, Ottawa if there was any NTC’s attached to the contract, which they did. The got fraudulent information in a reply, as part of a formal process. That’s not on them.
Feel a bit bad for the poor bastard that bought them, but not very.

Like, you’re asking a fellow pro GM, the players GM, as part of a formal process in which they are compelled to truthfully answer, and they get the answer wrong? I say again, this is not VGK’s fault. It’s indefensible, there is no excuse for Ottawa/Dorian.

Dorion committed so many fireable offences over the years that this change was long overdue. Zibanejad/Brassard trade, Duchene trade, the goaltending fiasco with Murray and then Gustavsson for Talbot, not extending Paul, did us a favour by taking on Zaitsev, etc lol
