Crazy how non-NHL caliber Connor Brown has become over the past 2 years with all his injury issues.
Rumours were Dubas wanted to bring Karlsson to Toronto too, eating away more cap to add depth and quite possibly one of those two prospects going the other way. Finally having two NHL ready prospects in Knies and Robertson of course has nothing whatsoever to do with the team's newfound depth. At least not if it doesn't fit the anti-Dubas agenda ...
The only joker here is you/anyone else still defending dubas. He is gone, he failed here and his legacy as a leaf is a failed hot shotDon't know why the clown posse is celebrating.
Regulation wins:
Pitts - 10 (out of 26)
Tor - 7 (out of 24)
Bet you cheered the hardest you have all year when the Pens beat the Leafs earlier this season.Don't know why the clown posse is celebrating.

They have a GOAT level player plus a modern top 5 player in the league + Hyman/Nuge/Kane7 straight wins for the Oilers.

He's straight in with his usual tricks.Rumours were Dubas wanted to bring Karlsson to Toronto too, eating away more cap to add depth and quite possibly one of those two prospects going the other way.
Even at his best he was a subpar NHL skater best suited to a middle six role. Coming off an ACL injury he's likely lost a step so it's not that surprising he can't play anymore.
Seems like most of those depth guys from the early years of the Leafs rebuild never amounted to much elsewhere other than Hyman.
Absolutely. You can also look at it this way. Regulation losses:
Pit - 12
Tor - 6
One team is 6 points out of a playoff spot and the other is near the top in points%
I wish we still had him. Hated not resigning him. Would've loved to have a left side of Hyman, Knies, Mikheyev and Engvall.Hyman just seems like a real unicorn in his ability to get better and better. Just a unique human. I remember a time where it felt like Hyman kind of stole Brown’s job as the second tier accessory forward. And from there he built his game up more and more. And then even more so in Edmonton.
No - not even a big Dubas guy. It was time to go. Shanny especially.Bet you cheered the hardest you have all year when the Pens beat the Leafs earlier this season.
So you aren't following along. The only joker here is you/anyone else still defending dubas. He is gone, he failed here and his legacy as a leaf is a failed hot shot
That dude is off our team. We are doing good despite a mid GM, and mid President as is expected in reg season hockey, likely similar playoff result as prior 5 years
We haven't had a good GM even in the cap era. Lou was avg to above avg and Dubas was similar for us overall.
We need our own elite GM/Coach/President like the Knights/Bolts/Hawks/Canes etc have or have had
Dubas/Pizza Man,Shanahan are just middle tier guys we propped up b/c of different agendas and past epic failures in JFJ, Burke and Nonis
Oh no. Robidas Island has been exposed
7 straight wins for the Oilers.
Tough to argue against that line of reasoning! No matter what the situation is, one does not cheer for the Canucks
No sir
Sharks PP was at 18.1% coming into this game.Just watched the Sharks powerplay.
These guys should wear paperbags over their heads after the game.
Brutal ... all between the ears.
So you aren't following along.
Not a real Dubas guy. Thought he got more than his share of blame, but I am not the least bit sorry he's gone. I just wish Shanny went too.
It's just pathetic that 'emo' posters need to puff their chest on a team that has won 7 in regulation out of 24, how is this 'proof' the Leafs are better off?
One big circle jerk, send in the clowns.
There are enough bags to go around.Sharks PP was at 18.1% coming into this game.
Pens are at 9.5% and Caps are at 8.2%
A lot of baggage and projection to unpack here in this post
It's ok if you're still not over Dubas getting himself fired here in Toronto, but cherry-picking stats and crapping on your own team to try to make his very poor start in Pittsburgh look better isn't going to help things for you.
It'd be pretty bad if they don't turn things around there without their own 1st and 2nd round picks in the next year that he traded away so for his sake, let's hope they do. I think he's been embarrassed enough so far in his career as a GM.
Not only is that not true, but Treliving inherited 2/3 of his 3rd line.Treliving in 6 months has given us our best 3rd line since it was Bozak, JVR and Marner in 2016.
