Bolts just don't generate a lot of offense at 5 on 5.
Keep them off the PP and you should be in good shape.

sounds familiar..............Yeah hes a good player but just hasnt been able to find chemistry with either Hughes or Hischier. He likes to have the puck, but if youre on a line with Hughes hes going to have the puck. When he was in SJS he was the guy on his line. He can obviously still figure it out, but I felt like it was sort of an unnecessary move at the time. This season their D and Gs are really struggling. But dont have much cap space to fix it. Bringing in Toffoli this year too didnt really help Meier either lol
Wanting Adin Hill for years is kind of like pining for Arvid Soderblom today...
Stutzle should have taken less so that they could have built a better team.

Yeah, it's really nothing more than that. Happens to every championship team at some point.I'd love to pile on the Lightning and revel in their plight and descent, but I'd give anything for their two Cups. So I won't say anything besides a team that has enjoyed a lot of recent success is starting to have age and expended assets catch up to them.
I'm not sure they will even make the playoffs. I understand Vasi's history, but he isn't that guy anymore. He wasn't for the second half of last season or the playoffs, and he isn't now. No shame in that. The guy has played a ton of hockey and has had incredible success, but I think the years of being overworked have come home to roost. The rest of Tampa's lineup has been shredded by the cap, and the players who have replaced those they have lost are simply not as good. They are absolutely lethal on the power play, and actually not bad on the penalty kill, but damn dreadful 5 on 5. If they want to be ruthless, there are tough decisions to be made on Stamkos and Hedman.Tampa is still running away with SCF and HDCF though. They're still capable of stealing a 7 game series if Vasi shows up and your goalie doesn't put up good numbers.
It's true they've been mediocre 5 on 5....but they are still somehow stomping the league in scoring chances even while playing mediocre. It's too early to count them out. They're candidates for a hot streak soon.I'm not sure they will even make the playoffs. I understand Vasi's history, but he isn't that guy anymore. Not with that defense. I think that is a bubble team from here on out until they start trading some of the big guys to start over. It's true they've been mediocre 5 on 5....but they are still somehow stomping the league in scoring chances even while playing mediocre. Watching the Hawks get totally outworked, leading to domination by the Wild and remembering we dropped both games to them and got outworked in the process.
Probably but I think he’s also happy with Gregor
