It’s about money. Arizona cleared 100% salary off the books. Ottawa won two games and suddenly a playoff seed could add a ton to their sale price.

When the Kings hit the golf course in late April, BLuc will point Dan Beckerman to the portion of the $1.7M saved by moving Quick plus 3-4 home games of playoff revenue. That does more to keep their jobs than some guy their boss literally never heard of.

Everyone thought Petersen killed the Chycrun deal. Looks more and more like it was Quick.

Quick was due about $600,000 based off $ of games remaining. I think it's by day rather than game so the # isn't accurate but somewhere around there.

Perhaps peruse the actual trade board to see how confused Canucks fans reactions are, and then how stoked Detroit fans reactions at nabbing a 1st for him.
