Yes its dangerous/stupid... dirty if its intentional - which only Lizotte knows.
LOL that's about as absurd as Sol's takes, congrats reaching that level....

And he paid for it by being health bombed and banished to the AHL for almost a full year. By all accounts Gabe was a new man last year and it showed in the on-ice results. It's not surprising that he'd be pissy about all things Kings after he was dumped and insinuated to be greedy/looking for an unreasonable raise only for the Kings to turn around and give a guy like PLD a max contract more than twice his salary.
I did not have 'kings fans turn on gabe--and it has nothing to do with PLD' on my bingo card this season
You mean a proven commodity vs what could be a flash in the pan? HArdly surprising
True, but it's not even about turning on him, he chose to make stupid statements to the media, acting as if Lizotte did that on purporse, or does that all the time, is just pure unadulterated bullshit and speaks volumes to character
Guys... correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a few months...Vilardi seems like a good guy to get out of a locker room.
Coming from the guy who thought Durzi was fine at 2LD thats funnyLOL that's about as absurd as Sol's takes, congrats reaching that level....

Oh what? Really ?I remember when Todd once spoke out about a certain player with negative body language was bringing that negative energy to the rink, and how that hurt the team. It was pretty clear to me that the player whom Todd was talking about was Gabe Vilardi.
Funny enough, Pierre-Luc Dubois has had that same vibe in the past, but at least he’s exhibited some clutch performances in the playoffs and has produced 25+ goals and 60+ points consistently.
We already have Fiala for committing penaltiesWould you move Lizotte and Bjornfot for Domi and Toronto retains some salary?
Would you move Lizotte and Bjornfot for Domi and Toronto retains some salary?
HELL NOWould you move Lizotte and Bjornfot for Domi and Toronto retains some salary?
If it was right after the game and he was still heated? Sure. It's been weeks though, and he's talking like Lizotte's some headhunting goon.I don't have any problem with Gabe's comments.
I'd take Tie at his age now, LOL, over his son. Never for me.Would you move Lizotte and Bjornfot for Domi and Toronto retains some salary?
Sometimes guys have beef.If it was right after the game and he was still heated? Sure. It's been weeks though, and he's talking like Lizotte's some headhunting goon.
Plus, he talks **** to the media then claims it's between them?
Big Vilardi fan, but I can't agree with that.
i don't think we're inferring things about him, as i recall that "negative body language" comment mentioned earlier was very much directed at himSometimes guys have beef.
I just think it's lame for us to be inferring negative things about Gabe simply based on those comments.
And Lizotte ain't no angel. He cross checked Vilardi's now-teammate in the mouth. He may have been referring to that.
You find Clifford attractive. That in and of itself invalidates your judgement.Vilardi is a cry baby bitch.
PL is 10x sexier too.
PLD's contract is quickly approaching untradable.Glad this guy had a "breakout" & Blake was able to dump him for a good player. Too bad Vilardi's value wasn't higher & it cost Iafallo & Durzi too.
PL's contract gunna look good when the cap starts going up after escrow is over.
Got injured by a friggin pygmy.
Gabe might've given us a window into why Blake felt comfortable moving on from him after a breakout year. He's always seemed to be a bit of grumpy guy, but skewering a former teammate with no reputation of intent to injure is certainly a choice.I think its one thing if you're commenting on a player you've never played with before, someone like Tkachuk for example. But to do it in the media against your former teammate and the player in question is Blake Lizotte? I think that's a bit uncalled for to air this out in the media like that.
Doesn't help that Lizotte cross checked Vilardi's now teammate in the face. All the Jets players were probably in Vilardi's ear about how dirty Lizotte is and he's bought in, especially since he's already sour about getting traded. I'm guessing the two never had a great friendship even though they were teammates.Gabe might've given us a window into why Blake felt comfortable moving on from him after a breakout year. I could also be overreacting because, you know, "my team's player good guy, other team's player bad guy."
Now, let's give Fiala some credit. He didn't commit a penalty against Washington. We already have Fiala for committing penalties
