In fairness to Reimer, there is no way to anticipate that type of shot coming in, he was likely expecting something with much more velocity coming his way.

Appreciate your optimism but Canadian national pride and an average size > 6’1” will punt the lollipop kids back to nowheresville USA in no time. Only chance the us national team has is if the IOC bans hitting in Olympic hockey entirely. So… maybe?
