Could this been a case of just not knowing the severity? I mean , you finish practice with a sore back that just keeps getting worse as the day goes on. Then find out it's really bad after an mri 3 days later. I never got the sense they were hiding anything. There not a single team that tells the truth when it's a LBI, UBI or other injury.

Colorado will do the same with Lehkonen. Right now it's "weeks" because they don't know. Also, Cogliano is "hopefully day to day" after missing with a UBI.

It's just par for the course with NHL teams. We'll never know what McDavid's injury is, it's more closely guarded than Fort Knox. It's obvious he's playing hurt, but nothing said by the Oilers will be honest or accurate.

Pretty surprising how short his leash was considering how far he took them last year. While
Todd does seem better this year, the Kings extended him while the Kings have gotten nowhere under him.


Woodcroft got screwed imo
 
his coaching consisted of ride mcdavid, ride draisaitl, if all else fails, load mcdavid and draisaitl together and ride them

i'm not going to bat for him personally but holy shit the nepotism hires. mcdavids junior coach and paul coffey....
