Sadly I agree. I hope he goes to Columbus or Philly.

Imagine if Florida misses out and they win the lotto and Bedard goes to Montreal?

Anyone who thinks the Blackhawks will automatically end up with the 1st overall pick hasn't been paying attention to how the draft lottery works. It's called a lottery. It works like the lottery. You know, with the ping pong balls?

It's like saying "anyone who doesn't think my crazy aunt Bettie will win this $1000 scratcher hasn't been paying attention".

There’s about a 75% chance Chicago does not win the lottery.

Haha, they did that during the last Kings game vs Buffalo. They showed a service dog on the jumbotron, everyone cheered, and then as soon as play began the Kings scored a goal. They showed the dog again and everyone went crazy and then they alternated between the dog and Buffalo fans with the same boos and cheers.

Clayton Keller was asked to comment on the team's most recent success and that is where things get really interesting:

''We got a good burst of energy there over the break, ... I'm sure the GM's not too happy about it.''

If any of Chicago, Arizona, Montreal or any team with terrible odds wins, people will cry conspiracy.

The oft cited reason for Chicago bias is the 2007 Kane draft, but it’s conveniently forgotten that in 2004, Chicago fell from #2 and missed out on Malkin (considered to be a much better prospect than Kane) and ended up with Cam Barker.

Ernst & Young runs the draft lottery process, they are one of the big four accounting firms with a client list that makes the NHL look like a mom&pop burger joint. If anyone thinks they are risking their reputation to place unproven 18 year old kids in certain markets you are nuts.

he's referring to the fact that the league would prefer certain teams to win the lottery ie new york.

I'll just point you to the Rangers and Blackhawks moving up 10 spots in the lottery. then there was the draft where they went from 5th to 1st and got Kane.

F*** that organization if they get Bedard!!! After the Kyle Beach incident they don't deserve sh*t!!! Any team but them and Edmonton and Pittsburgh. LOL
 
I hope Chicago gets Bedard.

Far better that an organization with intent to win, and the ability to do so, gets a top talent that would be wasted on perennial losers with no real desire or path to success. Like McDavid in Edmonton. Just a waste.

Nah, screw the Blackhawks for the Kyle Beach situation. The last thing that franchise needs is to be rewarded
