Yea, I think it would be different if he hadn't won two already. When it's your first you're thrilled even as the backup. But he's had his cake alreadyI mean, in the last 10 minutes of the game or so Quick was smirking and smiling at his teammates, but he was definitely not celebrating. Even in the pile after the buzzer, he was essentially going around telling guys congrats and to savor it, etc. It's bittersweet, but given what happened, there are certainly worse ways to go out. Sad he didn't touch playoff ice though.
Quick seemed to get a nice hand when he hoisted it.Barely. Forward about 20 feet and back. Didn't kiss it.
How could he be thrilled, he didn't play a game in these playoffs and wasn't even dressed for many of them. It is kind of sad to see Quick go from being a stud goaltender to not even being able to contribute in a playoff game. I don't think this is the way he wants to end his career.Quick didn't look to thrilled with the cup.
Hope he at least gets his name on the cup again. I know he automatically qualifies but still up to the team. They have 3 other goalies more deserving than him and limited space. There's no way Quick comes back.Kings need a goalie, wouldn’t be surprised if they sign Quick to a cheap one year deal or worse Quick signs with Anaheim (barf).
Hopefully, when he retires, the Kings sign him to a 1-day deal so he retires a King.Hope he at least gets his name on the cup again. I know he automatically qualifies but still up to the team. They have 4 other goalies more deserving than him and limited space. He might not be getting on.

I'd honestly be shocked if he went somewhere at this point. He is a competitive monster, but even he has to see the writing on the wall. He's going to be on the tail end of 37 at the end of the season and I don't see him squeezing out a year on a $1M contract for some random team.I can easily see Quick retiring. He was 3rd-4th banana on that team and his numbers haven't been good. Where would he land? Arizona? That doesn't sound like a good deal.
somebody needs to sign him. I doubt he gets an offer.I'd honestly be shocked if he went somewhere at this point. He is a competitive monster, but even he has to see the writing on the wall. Quick is no longer a starting goaltender and not one that can carry a team. Second the Kings are no where built like Vegas where they block shots and box out and don't demand their goaltender to stand on their heads making 1, 2 and 3 saves in one play.Kings need a goalie, wouldn’t be surprised if they sign Quick to a cheap one year deal or worse Quick signs with Anaheim (barf).
Why would a contender want him though? He was horrible this season. He might get a PTO if anything.I think he ends up as the backup on a good team. Tampa, Carolina, Boston, even Vegas if Hill prices himself outta town.
He was good enough behind a competent defensive team. Why would a contender want him though? He was horrible this season. He might get a PTO if anything.
Vegas has some serious cap issues, i dont think they can LTIR Lehner next year.. its messI think he ends up as the backup on a good team. Tampa, Carolina, Boston, even Vegas if Hill prices himself outta town.
I doubt Lehner ever plays another game. He's terribly injured and probably couldn't pass a physical based on weight alone.Vegas has some serious cap issues, i dont think they can LTIR Lehner next year.. its mess
being fat should not be a LTIR option.I doubt Lehner ever plays another game. He's terribly injured and probably couldn't pass a physical based on weight alone.
All the more reason they need a cheap backup tho
Don't forget Ben Hutton.Congrats to Ex-Kings Amadio,McNabb,Martinez and Quicker
