They'll shit on skinner, but it was the coach that decided after they came back on the Kings w Campbell down 3-0.. to keep going w Skinner. Of course Campbell was dogshit during regular season.. but go with the hot hand man

Draisaitl with a -4.

On ESPN they showed a clip of his lackadaisical play in the D-Zone leading to a VGK goal. That's what happens when you're tired IMO. Played almost 25min tonight.

Happy Oilers Elimination Day.

Grinding McDavid and Draisaitl into the dirt with ridiculous minutes is never going to get the Oilers through the playoffs, and they will continue to try and do it

Vegas was simply the better team at every aspect of the game other than PP. The series wasn't really that close, the Oiler PP made it seem closer than it was

Can't have floaters that don't defend. Too hard to make up goals.

LA would’ve been manhandled by Vegas.

The Kings are a long way from contending. Which is a really crappy place to be with two old players making 8 figures a season. The Kings are about on par with the best DT teams (00-02). They are entertaining and if they play really well they could push someone to 6 or 7 games, but no threat to win 4 series.

The Kings should have traded for Eichel, he was the perfect age where he was good enough now to help in the final 3 years of Kopitar's contract and still has the juice for a few more of his own. Instead we let him go to division rival Vegas, and they are the current favorites to win the cup and will be better than the Kings for the rest of the AK/DD window.

Probably could have gotten him for Byfield and Iafallo.

He rode the bench tonight, why wouldn't he get his name on there?
Isn't the minimum requirement half the regular season or 1 finals game? Doubtful he gets the finals game. And he's like their 5th goalie in terms of games played. He wouldn't get his name on. Unless sitting on the bench qualifies him as a final game played.

For all the hype about Edmonton having more depth this year (and I include myself in that), they ended up losing the same way as usual.

Had to lean too heavily on McDrai, and lost to a team with more depth.

It doesn’t help that they have a coach who refuses to empower his depth players.

If the depth players get treated like passengers, they’re going to play like passengers. This is on Woodcroft, IMO. He had depth. He just refused to dig into it. At the slightest hint of adversity, he did the same old double shift a McDrai line plan.

The Kings only had 2 functioning forward lines, and 2 functioning D pairs. The bottom D pair was literally unplayable.

That's the main reason they lost. Even more so than the PK IMO, or the 1-3-1, or Tmac, or whatever else we want to blame it on.
