The way Vegas played Edmonton tonight, owning 5 on 5 play by pressuring them, makes me want to strangle Todd McLellan.

Yeah, Vegas also neutralized their pp by scoring 2 of their own, leaving the 5 v 5 goals to be the difference. Skinner is just as bad as he was against us and will continue to get scored on.

We blew such a winnable series. If we played like the first period of game 4 the rest of the way, we’d be losing game 1 in Vegas

I didn’t even watch but when I saw that Draisaitl scored 4 and their pp went 2/3 and they still lost, I said to myself “I bet Vegas didn’t sit back like bitches all game”

Oilers could be in major trouble against Vegas, they don't have Todd McLellan's braindead gameplan to go against this round. Vegas is going to actually try and forecheck, and not just sit in a 1-3-1 and allow zero resistance into their zone

Casual reminder Todd gets paid 192,000 every two weeks. He won’t change a thing with his game plan.

Interesting....Look at the D of Seattle, Vegas, Edmonton - all big.

Who is playing well for the Leafs - Luke Schenn.

And Blake is out here saying our shrimp D core is fine. LOL.
Big does not equal good. Carson Soucy, big and gooooood. Vincent Desharnais? Very big, and not good at all.

with all these 4 goal games if people were to celebrate jumbo joe style there would be a lot of roosters out there.

Anyone hear rumors that Gallant maybe fired in New York? I have always thought he has done well everywhere he goes, wonder why he keeps getting turfed. I know all coaches do eventually but surprises me when he does.

that 'knee on knee' where Doughty nailed center mass but McDavid was bent over to the right trying to sidestep

If anything it looks like groin since he plugged him right at the pelvis

Just got back from Vancouver and was able to get to a restaurant for Game 7 of Panthers and Bruins. Place got pretty animated when Bruins got bumped. We messed around with a few Oilers fans while we were there but everyone was pretty nice.

Vancouver fans were obviously bummed about the season but watching playoffs up there was fun where everyone was pretty into it.

It's a fun time of year. I usually say the first round is the most wonderful time of the year because its' 8 meaningful hockey games at once but the overlaps suck. 2nd round might be it, always one meaningful high intensity game on and it's high level.

I know there are some really good skaters on this forum and several of us have been on the ice with pros a lot more than once, I know sometimes I used to get caught up watching and wondering if I could take a shift without sucking terribly and sometimes in the season you feel like that before snapping back to reality with a 'nope.' we are officially at the time of year when it's high skill high intensity and the thought is instead "not a f***ing chance, I would die the moment my blades touched the ice for my shift" and i love it
