lol, dunno if he really said that
Lots of other things, he could've said.I don't know why outlets ever bother to publish these bites (well, I do know...)
What do you ever expect the new guy in town to say?
"Yeah, it's alright, but I really liked my old place better."
imagine thinking Pittsburgh is better than Toronto as a city... but I guess it reminds him of his old home up in Salt Ste. MarieI don't know why outlets ever bother to publish these bites (well, I do know...)

Everyone keeps saying playoff stats and delivering in the playoffs is what matters most when talking about Salaries on this forum so it seems like the devils gave Meier an UNPRECEDENTED overpay for his 0.5 PPG in the playoffsTimo at 8.5 is a great deal for the Devils
Great player great value. A 40 goal scorer
He had 15 points in 20 games when sharks went to the finals. I guess that counts for somethingEveryone keeps saying playoff stats and delivering in the playoffs is what matters most when talking about Salaries on this forum so it seems like the devils gave Meier an UNPRECEDENTED overpay for his 0.5 PPG in the playoffs
Of course he would because whoever he has projected to go 14th will still be there at 28 for him to pick.Wonder if Kyle would take #28OA and a couple of smurfs he drafted here for #14OA?
I've been hearing that for like the last 30 years here.Of course he would because whoever he has projected to go 14th will still be there at 28 for him to pick.
That seemed to always be the case here.
Meh, he was on a new team. I'd take the body of work from past years. A full offseason/training camp with the team and he's probably going to be just as good as he was in San Jose, if not better due to more talent around him.Everyone keeps saying playoff stats and delivering in the playoffs is what matters most when talking about Salaries on this forum so it seems like the devils gave Meier an UNPRECEDENTED overpay for his 0.5 PPG in the playoffs
you mean in SJ when he had 20 points in 30 games so slightly better 0.66 PPG lolMeh, he was on a new team. I'd take the body of work from past years. Tkachuk was 0.56 PPG in the playoffs in Calgary and then went over PPG on a long run in Florida, one key difference being he had an entire season to gel with the Panthers before the playoffs. My point was just that I wouldn't put a ton of stock in a limited sample size of Meier with the Devils. He's still a very good player.you mean in SJ when he had 20 points in 30 games so slightly better 0.66 PPG lol

How many years until the following teams pass us in the standings:
Buffalo - 1 or 2
Ottawa - 1 or fewer
Montreal - 3 - 4 as of now
We have real threats in Buffalo and Ottawa imo. I could see them both being very close or even better than us this coming season. We need to hope we can leapfrog Tampa, Florida and Boston if we want to lock in a non-WC playoff spot imo.
Gotta enjoy these winning seasons while we can because our rivals are flush with affordable talent and picks.

Mintten might be fine but last year is was so especially egregious the dude was ranked like 80th at the highest and they tried to sell that he was who they were going to pick in the first
