Thats the thing, Habs players hate the Leafs and want to troll the Leafs. I still remembered what Price said during the all-star weekend behind the scene clip where they drove by a few Leafs fans on the bus and said wonder will they burn the jersey or something. That was during the salute gate and stuff. You saw what TT said and now Suzuki. But we don't see any Leafs troll other teams or players. The closest I seen was AM after Ovie made the comments about the path to winning the Cup.
I am starting to think Shanny and Dubas is telling the guys to say nothing and just be as vanilla as possible, which could also lead to being vanilla on the ice.

More likely because if anyone on the Leafs said anything negative about anyone else in the league, it would be on the front page of every paper in Canada... Most with stories ghostwritten by Steve Simmons...

Thats the problem, not just Leafs fans read about the Leafs, the rest of Canada like to read about the Leafs.
An example could be Nucks still have not sign Petey and Hughes yet and camp is starting next week. Sportsnet and TSN rarely write or report about it but if it is Marner and AM with the Leafs, it will be coverage every single day.

Chara with the Isles to me is a very good fit
Isles players confidence just went up by 25%

If you thought you were getting run over by Czekias, Martin, Komarov, Jhonston and Clutterbuck before, you are going to get some serious heat now

They look and play like a such a throw back team. Something out of 90s

Chara doesn't have the game like he once did, but 6'9 still there

Chara goes full circle to end the his career with the team that originally drafted him.

The 6-foot-9 defenseman was drafted in the third round (56th overall) in 1996 by the Islanders. He played 231 games for them from 1997 to 2001 before general manager Mike Milbury sent him, winger Bill Muckalt and a first-round pick that became center Jason Spezza to the Ottawa Senators for center Alexei Yashin -- a transaction that still holds a place of infamy for Islanders fans.

"It's kind of a full circle. Who would know this would work out the way it did?" Chara said Saturday. "I'm very honored and humbled to be an Islander again. The organization has been through some transitions over the last 20 years, but we can all see the progress and the positivity the team has."

Chara celebrated the homecoming with an Instagram post Saturday in which he wore one of his old Islanders sweaters, writing: "I had to get some dust off them, but sure they still looking good!"

 some nice gaslighting there

The year Suzuki is referring to was 2015-16, where Dvorak was the Captain and lead the Knights team in scoring, finished 2nd overall in OHL scoring while leading the league in goals with 52.

Knights won the OHL championship and Memorial Cup, and Dvorak just like Marner was named to the OHL 1st team All-Star and Memorial Cup 1st team All-Star.

There's a world of difference between the team he left and the team he came back to. Players, management, ownership, and arena are all vastly improved.

So many good unsigned young RFA around the league.

So few "offersheet" rumors. (Even though we finally actually had an offersheet this year already!)

Definitely pricey given the limited number of games played by the guy. But the Wild pretty much had to sign him if they want to avoid a complete tear down.

They'll probably get fair value on it eventually
5 yrs at 9mil is interesting. But like you said, the Wilds got no choice but to do it.

Man Hyman is so full of crap. "I looked around and had my sights set on Edmonton, but not because of the money, but because they have a legitimate chance to win"

Edmonton has been worse than us lol and went out in the playoffs just like us, it was only because of money. Hope they have a terrible season with zero luck.

But also happy we never gave him 40 million and a no movement clause.

Of course it's all about the money but what do you expect him to say? It's almost always about the money, but the players aren't going to say that.

Ahh hockey season is back! I love HFBoards during this time. Some posters always bring up the Leafs to kick start their forums back into life. Their own teams dont generate enough excitement for them to talk about so the Leafs are always brought up! Dont believe me? Go around the forums.
