I never gave Parise much credit in the Wild, I was more one of those pro-Suter guys.

Suter vs. Parise in the playoffs seems extremely likely, maybe then it will be determined which one was the better player.
There's no contest, in my opinion, Suter was the better player. I also like him a lot less, and will not be happy for him if he lifts the Cup.

Then again, it probably takes some drive to lead the league in TOI/GP in the time period he was in Minnesota.

Suter just looked efficient enough to almost seem like he's coasting.
After watching Stars vs. Caps game few nights ago, Suter did seem like he had found more jump to his game and maybe even lost some weight. He still had some strength left since he tossed Ovie around with one hand.

With one hand... you know the way he pushes guys with his free hand.

I would think it's sort of Suter trademark since most d-man don't do anything like that.
Sorry, I was just sort of throwing shade at Suter for his crosschecks against Kaprizov last postseason. He's been a low-key dirty player for over a decade now, and finally we Wild fans felt the sting of it last year.

I know the move you're talking about, and yeah he does it a lot.

I feel like Parise aways did well for us in the playoffs, suter never seemed to be able to elevate his game.

Based on Wild playoff stats, it's hard to determine which one was better/worse. As a Suter believer, I do have to point out that 28 min/gp is pretty amazing.

I'm assuming that VAN has already negotiated a new deal with Lindholm?

I'm not. It just looks like an all in move before EP gets really expensive. Lindholm would be an expensive 3C behind EP and Miller.

Monahan to the Jets for a first and conditional third. Anyone thinking of moving Gaudreau or Hartman?

Monahan is on pace for 60 points making 2m as a pending UFA

Gaudreau and Hartman are very much not that

NMC for Hartman, 15-team NTC for Gaudreau. Hartman has to want to move because it's up to him to waive it, and while Gaudreau can be moved, I imagine most of the teams off his list don't need him (why wouldn't he pick teams in a way to prevent a move without his say-so?). Those make it hard, if not impossible to move them, and we definitely wouldn't get anywhere near their full value in return.

I don't think Monahan is really as good as his stats suggest either. He has just been given every offensive opportunity including full PP1 minutes, something he won't be getting on a contender.

I would have been disappointed if Wild were contending and paid that price for Monahan, at least.

Reactions: Obvious Fabertism
Well MN will get JEE and Brodin for Sweden. I don't see anyone else from MN cracking the lineups.
Faber could possibly be in the running to crack the lineup for USA.

This will replace next years all star game

Thank goodness, this 3 on 3 tournament has been unwatchable since it's inception.
Get back to playing something that looks like actual hockey.

McAvoy, Fox, and Chychrun off the top of my head. Then there are the older guys like Carlson and Petry. That's just the RHS d-men.

I barely have Brodin making Sweden as the 7/8 d-man.

Chychrun is a LHS LD and should never play RD

It would be crazy to think Faber doesn't have a very good chance at being on the team at this point.
