Took a quick glance at the Winter Classic. Pretty sad how part of the intermission crew is trying so hard to sell it by wearing winter hats when it's 50 fooking degrees out.

50 degrees is still kinda cold when you're sitting there not doing anything.

Sometimes the best moves you make really are the moves you don't make.

Miller is still a steal for $5.25m cap hit. I want nothing to do the $8m x 7 extension he signed.

If Chicago wins the Bedard sweepstakes I'm gonna puke.
Very likely , Chicago will be winning cups in the years after Kap and Boldy leave out of frustration. We’ll be a bubble team 1st rd fodder for eternity

Five years from now Zuccarello will still be playing top line minutes, dumba will be the highest paid Dman on the team, and the fans piling in the doors to watch the team fall short to the elite teams.

Yes

Bettman is rigging it as we speak.
Well the United center will be selling under 1000 tickets per game in short order unless the tank hawks get back to the cup soon. Those dedicated Chicago fans don’t suffer through losing very well. Maybe MN should try that and Buttman will rig a draft for us

Wright (SEA) and Clarke (LA) sent back to their CHL teams. Smart move by their club to not burn a year of their ELC (I looked they don't have the 10 NHL games). It just seems weird for that to happen in JAN and not OCT/NOV.

A big #$%@ YOU to the Canucks' front office for the way they treated BB. And props to the fans for showing their appreciation for the head coach.

Van was 18-25-2 this season, 2-8-0 in their last 10 games when they fired BB. The team is a tire fire. I think VAN did the correct thing for their team: find their replacement before getting rid of what they already have. Otherwise you could end up with a Jeff Saturday (Colts) as your head coach for the rest of the season.

I like BB. He's gives a good presser and seems like a nice guy. He just wasn't doing a good job this year.

Besides Canucks fans, who wouldn't want to see Jeff Saturday coach the Canucks?

If Vancouver wins the lottery I'm just gonna assume it's fixed. It's also gonna be worse than watching Edmonton waste McDavid. Canucks ownership is so incompetent and it extends to their management.

It wasn't even about the wins and losses. It was the way they handled it and the complete lack of respect.

I'd rather he go there than to Chicago. I feel like the Hawks have already sent Bettman the down payment.
Well hawks fans will abandon the United center faster than about any other fan base if they aren’t routinely gifted stanelycup contending teams. So there’s that

Of the 6 arenas I've been to the United Center was my least favorite arena to watch a game. The first time going is really cool because of all the Bulls stuff, but any trips after that I'm going to watch hockey and don't want to think about basketball.

There are very few teams non-football sports teams that are immune to bad teams bleeding attendance numbers. Going to a game is just too expensive with tickets, parking, stadium price food/drink, etc. The convivence factor also plays a much larger role than it did even a few years ago. TVs are better, entertainment is more accessible and has more options, not waiting in line for everything, not having to go outside in crappy weather, etc.
