The amount of time Kerfoot has spent with Tavares is essentially the exact same as the amount of time Kadri has spent with Mackinnon, for the record.

  • kadri has played 6 minutes with mackinnon at 5VS5

  • kerfoot has played 130 with willie and 92 with tavares at 5VS5

for the record...

Both Kadri and Kerfoot have played 382 minutes with their respective centers. Kerfoot was also only one part of the deal. And again, the claim was worst trade in the last 20 years, which is clearly ridiculous.

these last few back and forth posts were about comparing just kadri and kerfoot and you considered them equal and your spinning now trying to back up your opinion

No, this discussion started with an individual who claimed that the Kadri deal was the worst Leaf trade in the last 20 years. You seemed to take issue with my disagreement, and you asked me to name a worse one. I named a clearly worse one, so you started putting arbitrary qualifiers on it to dismiss it (like it's a prospect so it doesn't count) and argued that if it was good at the time, it shouldn't count as a bad deal, even though that completely contradicted your own argument, since the Kadri deal was very good at the time and the Rask deal was bad the moment it happened and increasingly worse every moment since.

When that failed, you tasked me with naming even more worse trades, and I quickly named four additional ones, just off the top of my head. Which you again arbitrarily dismissed. I never once claimed that Kadri and Kerfoot were "equal"; I merely countered your claim that Kadri was "on another level", and incomparable. I pointed out how Kadri's raw points could be misleading you to an incorrect conclusion, and you randomly threw out linemates, when Kadri has played just as much time with a better center. This was pointed out to you, and now you're misrepresenting what I've said. The Kadri trade was not even close to one of the worst Leaf trades in the last 20 years. The impact of this trade in general is grossly exaggerated. It was good value, and the purpose of the trade was accomplished, but the results that were less than what were hoped for. The end. It's time to move on.

Just so it's clear, this is the what is happening around the league thread, not the I'm obsessing over the Kadri trade thread, and don't have a clue why he was really traded thread. Thanks.

Barrie has more points than Kadri.

And Dubas got Kerfoot on top of it.

Great trade, dubey.

because of the penalties in the playoffs?
Because he wasn't good in a 3rd line C role. Just because he is doing "OK" in Colorado as a 2nd line C doesn't mean he would do that with lesser role here.

Without Komarov or Brown stapled to him he was average at best as a defensive C too.

Not sure what you mean?

Kadri was traded for Barrie and kerfoot. And he's being outscored by Barrie.

ok, i will look at like you are...

that makes that trade even worse, dubas screwed up for not resigning Barrie and letting him walk away

That's certainly what Burke told us.

However, it very quickly became apparent that he was just a good second line winger, pushed to the top line, partly because we didn't have much else (Mac and the USSR), and partly to prove Burke right.

I felt sorry for him (and us) and was glad he went to a team that could use him properly.
