What is he *****ing about? The ****ing guy is rich, apparently.

Jesus H. Christ.

Now to see if Uncle Gary has the guts to troll out good old section 18-A.5.

18-A.5
Criminal Investigation
.
A Player subject to Commissioner Discipline for Off-Ice
Conduct may seek a reasonable delay in such proceedings in order to retain and seek the advice
of counsel in the event his conduct may also be subject to a criminal investigation by any
governmental authority, or in the event of an ongoing civil proceeding where the Player has been
named as a defendant. The League may suspend the Player pending the League's formal review
and disposition of the matter where the failure to suspend the Player during this period would
create a substantial risk of material harm to the legitimate interests and/or reputation of the
League

I think we all know this section all too well after Voynov.

When asked if the NHL has started its own investigation on Kane, Bettman indicated one had not begun.

"At the appropriate time we will look into it,†he said.

Sure Gary, we all know you'll get around to it.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt till the season starts, but at that point, if people still have legal issues and aren't suspended, there's gonna be a lot of noise. Then again, I don't know what the right answer would be to this problem, but I think the idea that players have some sort of diplomatic immunity because lolsummervacation is road apples. Can't just pretend that these issues don't exist.

And I feel like I'm taking crazy pills sometimes for being pretty pissed about the ROR thing being dismissed by the general public so easily. Maybe it's because drunk driving has affected people close to me very seriously, but doing that, crashing, and leaving the scene is just such an irresponsible crime; it may not be done with malice/intent like some of the others but it's done with just as much recklessness and can have much worse results. Bull ****.

Ben Johnson, Devils 2012 3rd round draft pick will miss training camp and rookie camp because he is awaiting a verdict on his sexual assault trial from a Jan 2013 incident in an Ontario bar. Closing arguments were Aug 27 and the judge will rule on Oct 30.

He's also going on trial for another sexual assault charge involving a minor from a Mar 2013 incident.

Really? Wow....

The NHL should have suspended him 30 times by now

Brad Boyes will attend the Maple Leafs training camp on a PTO. Glencross earlier this week joining added to the other bargain prices,
Leafs have given a whole new meaning to shopping in the thrift store.

The Leafs have invited all remaining UFA's to camp on a tryout basis.

I keeping waiting to see Simon Gagne's name appear as a Leafs PTO, as of this past SCF's (where his name came up during a flashback segment when he scored the GWG in game 7 vs Bruins in 2010) it was mentioned that Gagne was planning on returning to the NHL in 2015.

Hearing CHI and CAR working on a Kris Versteeg deal.

Canes offer a draft pick? Don't think the Hawks want to take on salary.

RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has acquired forwards Kris Versteeg (vuhr-STEEG) and Joakim Nordstrom (JOH-keem NORD-struhm) and a third-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft in exchange for defensemen Dennis Robertson and Jake Massie and a fifth-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.

great move by carolina. they move up in the draft and get a player they can sell as a rental come deadline.
I wonder if salary retention in trades will be part of NHL16

Yeah, he'd be a good pickup for a playoff team,a good depth forward and they'll get another pick. nice move by the Canes.
