This hit happens fast in the NHL, but it is also textbook, ‘Dont do this shit!’
Im guessing at least 1-2 games since he’s getting his cherry popped.

Reminds me of what Lombardi tried to do after winning the Cup, tapping into the minds of those involved in building dynasties.
because of how remorseful Fialla was and how this is not the type of player he is, I cannot see more than 2.

Dean was too loyal to the players who won the cups, with the prime example being Mike Richards.I really like that Bowman quote, "don't let success linger."

Will probably want a trade in three weeks.
One of the Jackets sites mentioned that PLD wasn't going to get paid, as much as he wanted on an LTC, in addition to wanting a bigger market. So maybe since they knew he wasn't going to sign long term, they got an elite winger (and a good center) in return, with the thought of what they could get trading him.

He mght get traded after the season is over, Jackets have a history of being on the cheap side and have lost some good players due to that. Laine, would get them a good return. If they decide he is asking too much $$$, they could shop him and there are teams that will bite

As for Laine and the Jets and the issues he cited on Wheeler and Schiefle
