How is this contract good for PLD?

PLD was already rumored to have requested a trade even before he signed the 2-year extension on 12/31/2020, right? So if he really didn’t want to be in C-bus why sign a deal like that paying $3.35M in 20/21 and $6.65M in 21/22 ($5M cap hit each year) and STILL be an RFA? This extension gives the team so much more leverage over PLD.

And then gets benched for skating around like a ballerina - no offense to all the ballerinas around here.

If he just held out, he could have forced a trade especially if the team struggles. Looks like he was given bad advice.

I suppose this means when the playoffs happen we won't been having multiple games on different stations owned by NBC. It was kind of fun channel surfing from NBCSN, to CNBC and I think it was USA.

The NBC news means it will likely be a good time to cut my cable at that point since I won't be missing anything. They own NHLN right? Is that going too?

Please stop showing other teams prospects doing well in the NHL I'm having anxiety with all the bust talk regarding our kids. All kidding aside always been a fan of Cozens kid is going to be really good. I wanted him after Dach and Turcotte.

That is a pretty special 1st NHL goal. He won’t be lying to his grand kids when he tells them he ripped it off the bar and in.

Times are changing, 19 is the new 20 for very good (but not super elite) prospects.

I think the maturity level of some of the top prospects starts sooner, that it used to be that top prospect paid his dues in the AHL and hit the NHL at 21 or 22, even. Now, some of those kids are mature enough, responsible enough and confident enough to hit the NHL at 19.

And Montreal is the best team I've seen so far. They were impressive in the playoffs , were the better team vs the Flyers but had few finishers. They've added depth scoring, a good defenseman and top backup goalie, and if healthy I think will be a favorite at the top of the North. Just a fast, fun team to watch.
 
How did things go so bad in Lumbus with Pierre-Luc Dubois? He signed his 2 year deal on Dec. 20 , and a month later he wants out and looks to be traded soon.
 
Arizona allowing fans into the building. Looks like a regular home game pre Covid. :laugh:. I guess jokes on us at least they get to go. :cry:

Bowen Byram Datsyuked Getzlaf earlier and almost scored. Then just assisted on a beauty of a goal. Dayum Eff the Aves!!!
 
Just confirmed, PLD to WPG for Laine. lol, I'm sure that's what both of those clowns wanted...
 
I cannot think of a place Laine would probably rather not go than CBJ, it's fine for Roslovic because he'll get his money at some point and a bigger role.

PLD is a crybaby quitter, laine and his agent are crybabies, winnipeg is getting their AHL coach's son in the org, jarmo is just getting his good finnish boy and his good ohioan boy back in town, winnipeg is dumb for giving up roslovic, torts is gonna have a field day with laine if he had a problem with PLD

For now, it's a win for Jackets, I think Roslovic will be better as he'll be in a better system and used differntly. Laine gives the Jackets the elite sniper they need. PLD is a very good center, but his attitude needs fixing. Each player wanted out of town and got their wish.
