The first two....yeah you could call those soft, but the 3rd goal tip in, Stamkos's one timer from his office, and Point twiddling his thumb in the slot between the dots....probably have to be lucky more than good to stop those.

I'm not specifically talking about last night... I'm talking about watching Subban in net the last 3 seasons with The Golden Knights.

Most of the games I've watched the last couple of days look about the same, rusty, timing issues, no preseason. But that will get better in the next couple of weeks.

I did watch quite a bit of the Canes - Redwings game. Felt bad for Greiss, who was in net for the Redwings and kept htem in the game. Wings were outshot 42-14 and he was the main reason, keeping it at, 1-0 until late in the 3rd when Dzingel got a PP , Canes added the empty netter.

Canes 6 defensemen might be the best in the NHL. Even rusty, they kept the wings bottled up. Skjei was a great pickup for them. Pesce looked good, as did Hamiliton.

Odd rumor came up on TSN's INsider Trading with , according to them, several teams calling Florida over the last few weeks asking about Barkov. His contract is up next year (21-22) and apparently these GM's are working off a rumor that he doesn't want to stay in FLA. Now Zito is saying all the right things, that he's not available, etc. But you have to wonder if that is true, how long he should wait and not allow a Tavares situation to occur.
He's a great player and most any team would welcome him at center.

Alexis Lafreniere with zero points in a shutout loss. Based on all the overreactive experts on HF, we can safely say that he’s a bust and he’ll never get better from here on out.

Welp, doesn't show up against tougher competition amirite

Probably needs four more years in juniors, what a project, waste of a pick

8th year in the league, been to the playoffs twice, 10 GP, and the Panthers are 3-7.

People talk about the Oilers and Sabres wasting the best years of McDavid and Eichel. Barkov is in the same boat. Just nobody cares about the Panthers, so it's easy to get lost in the shuffle.

I'd guess he goes nowhere before the draft. Even then, it'll likely be the 2022 deadline. The Panthers already have a negative stigma, and when they get rid of Barkov, it'll only reinforce it. Here we go again. Same with Huberdeau. And the fan support isn't even Columbus level, let alone Toronto.

They get rid of them, and are left saddled with Bob, it's going to kill the franchise. Whatever they're trying to do with the roster this year has to work.

Oilers have a goalie situtation

Alarm bells going off with Mike Smith going on Long Term Injured Reserve | Edmonton Journal

Smith (Holland made a mistake signing him) is on LTIR and they lost FOrsberg on waivers. With the amount of back to backs, they need to perhaps trade for a veteran, even tho picken's are slim.

Anton Forsberg got claimed on waivers by Carolina, then when Carolina put him on waivers he got scooped up today by Winnipeg before the Oilers could grab him back

Who was the other goalie they could get for $1.5m? Could they spend more on goaltending, while adding to what little depth they might have?

The cap giveth, and the cap taketh away.
