The owners are never screwed. They figured out the magic bullet some time ago, and it is the lockout. The owners always have the ability to outlast the finite careers of players.And that’s the rub of the CBA they signed. Owners be f***ed!
They agreed to a 20% escrow. If that doesn’t get them to the 50/50 split, tough shit. That signed the contract. That sword cuts both ways it seems.
The owners aren't asking for reduction in pay this time, they are asking for greater deferments in salary payments to a later date.
