Yeah, unless TDA did or said something problematic on the podcast (which is probably 50/50 with him), I don't see what the issue is. I also don't get why Dom is apologizing for another person's podcast having TDA on. He didn't give him a platform. They both joined a podcast hosted by someone else
I'm just concerned that Tony may feel so emboldened by the recent election that he might start doing the "Trump dance" as a celebratory gesture after scoring a goal like all those NFL guys. I'm *literarily shaking* thinking of this.

Tony’s not even in America anymore, so the recent election should have no effect on him. Unless there’s some connection between Russia and our new president elect that’s been ignored, but surely that’s not happened.

Feels like Dom agreed without thinking about it, then realized debating someone on the internet is extremely different than debating someone in person/real time (or over Zoom...you know what I mean).

Like I can just see how it would have gone

Dom: *nuanced, lengthy, boring take, delivered with caveats, mostly unconvincing*
TDA: yeah well I played hockey, so I can tell! (Delivered with convincing meatheaded confidence)

Probably would have tuned in to see if TDA would slip why his last year here was spent as a 7th d/healthy scratch, even when the PP was struggling and inserting him would have made sense.

I don't know about you guys, but since the Ukraine peccadillo started, playing in Putin's league has been more than enough to make a hockey player a public spittoon in my whereabouts.

Considering that the governments of Germany and France have collapsed due to our recent election and the government of Canada is right on the brink of it, one could reasonably extrapolate that Tony is experiencing some sort of impact from it. One that may cause him to swing his arms to and fro after scoring a goal.

Hey, wait..if he's no longer in the country why are we still talking about him again?

I think you’re giving our elections too much credit. France’s government began its collapse in June, when their current President (who has been serving since 2017) decided he wanted to dissolve the parliament. Because his party lost badly in the European Parliament elections. Basically, he couldn’t handle losing and decided he would overthrow election results instead.

I’m not as well read on the Germany collapse, but it sounds like a similar situation. The ruling parties did very poorly in their September elections, conflict arose about the budget them and the parties that DID do well in those elections, and ultimately, a vote of no confidence was called for.

It’s the same story as it’s always been. Those in power will do whatever they can to stay in power, even if it’s not to the benefit of the country they’re supposed to be serving.

What’s more impressive is that Buffalo lost 6-1 and managed to score the most out of all the New York teams tonight.
Sure sure sure, but the Rangers have lost to the worst team in the league (different team both times) twice in about a week, so there's that.

Turbo gets three third period assists as the Caps cough up a 2-0 lead heading into the third to lose 3-2 in regulation.
