If Eichel, ROR and Reinhart were producing in Buffalo I don’t think they would have Dahlin nor probably Ullmark.

Like I disagree to the end with Tony's politics, but most of what he's hated for are just speculation. I'm not going to vote for Tony for president, but that doesn't mean that I can't be in the same room with the guy. Geez. You make things worse when you put your fingers in your ears when you're near someone you disagree with.

By all his actions as a Canes player, he seemed like a great teammate and a helpful mentor towards others.

Even more damning is they had top 10 picks 10 years straight, and like 13 first round picks overall (2013-2022). Outside of VERY early 2nd round picks (Compher, Samuelsson, Peterka), the only guys that have "hit" in any semi-significant way are Olofsson, Borgen, & Hagel. Some of those guys only broke out after leaving Buffalo. Maybe their scouting/drafting sucks, or their development? They've had supporting cast but never much of an identity?

Yeah, unless TDA did or said something problematic on the podcast (which is probably 50/50 with him), I don't see what the issue is. I also don't get why Dom is apologizing for another person's podcast having TDA on. He didn't give him a platform. They both joined a podcast hosted by someone else

There has to be something within the organization to explain how so many highly touted players’ development is stifled until they leave and break out elsewhere. Whether it’s coaching, culture, inertia, outright bad luck, whatever.

I know the draft gets dicey outside the top-10 or so, that the likelihood of a “hit” falls off fast and becomes almost random. But beyond their 1OA and 2OA picks, that’s a remarkable dearth of quality NHL seasons resulting from over a decade of drafting. They got that one 30-goal year from Cozens, and otherwise it’s is just a bunch of generic roster filler and trade bait/journeymen.
