Washington, DC.
Wow, that sucks.

But… CapFriendly’s origin was as the immediate replacement to the first cap service (name escapes me at the moment???) who shut down after the creator unexpectedly passed away, I think. Something will pop up in its place.

Edit: CapGeek! How could I forget!
Something will come up, but getting to be good enough to actually be relied on by teams is hard.

Idk, I’m kinda surprised it’s them…

…seems like a textbook Dundon move if we’re being honest.
He might do that to a sports betting app but this is too low for him. I won't even say even, because of the context.

Ok, I *did* say even, but.

Honestly it's kind of surprising in general that a professional sports team just bought a piece of public software that was made by fans. You'd think all teams would have something already developed or a very in depth spread sheet to play around with stuff like this already

It's not unheard of. Vegas hired the guy who made GeneralFanager, and then shut that site down.

This would be disappointing. Especially for a team like ours where we’re pretty solid drafting in the late rounds. Benefits teams like the Rangers where they’d always be a top free agent destination
In the last 15 drafts, only two Hurricanes picks after the 4th round ever played any meaningful amount of games for the Canes, or even in the NHL. Lorentz and Andersen(Andersen ended up being a 3rd rounder with Anaheim). Maybe that will change once the players drafted the last 3-4 years mature, but this rule would have had minimal impact on Carolina.
