McLovin with the bad hit mostly seemed the stick the knee out appropriately punished .

What are some other fan gimmicks around the league?

Dallas - #Bang
Vancouver - Green Men

Dallas used to have the blonde woman behind the bench who uh, let's just say the cameras liked her.

God I hated the green men, they spun off several mimics in other sports.

Fan gimmicks in general bring out the "get off my lawn" in me.

Watching Tarasenko in the playoffs makes me glad he didn’t want to come to Raleigh.

Bennett with another miss right in front of the goal. He hits but isn’t a sniper.

ESPN with oiler love fest in between period but yet being outshot 22-7.

They suck….TNT should get all Finals.

Oilers are done. The Dallas Stars should be ashamed of themselves
Meh. Florida is a flat out better team than Dallas. Dallas was deep in the west but I don’t think anyone compares with Florida.

This one isn’t over yet, and we need to see the Oilers at home for a game. Oilers winning at home wouldn’t be a shock. This is a goaltender battle right now, with the obvious results. Oilers have to get the pp going, and they talked about the pp being useless early on against the Stars too.

Draisaitl launches himself up off his skates with elbow to head only contact. Minor, league is sad.
They called the penalty. It’s a minor for elbowing that they called roughing. They wouldn’t have changed that to a major. Leaving your feet matters for charging, and it wasn’t a charge.

Not calling Tkachuk on that breakaway was not the standard of the whole season.

Wasn’t a charge. Lol okay, that doesn’t matter

Dude launches himself into his head but at least we protect the players with a measly two minute penalty

Charging is a penalty that involves taking three strides or more sprinting into a player, and you can call it right there but leaving your feet is a factor on that penalty. Drai glided into that, it’s not a charge. Elbowing is a minor penalty unless it’s egregious, and despite the jump he kept his arms low. He obviously made head contact, there’s obviously an elbow and they appropriately made a call. I’d be surprised if there was more to it but you never know.

Drai definitely left his feet Rempe (style just with less speed/force).

5 for me because he knocked the player out of the game.

That is the message. The memo has been sent.

The league clearly doesn't protect the players. Doing things like this is rewarded.

I would say an elbow to the head is egregious.

And if you jump into the hit that can negate "keeping your arms low", your arms are high because you jumped. Jumping and putting your arms up can both lead to head contact via unnecessary moves.
