Is it that high at PNC these days? Holy crap. Can't say I've ever bought popcorn there, and haven't bought a soda there for over a decade. I do know the beer is still a lot cheaper (and better) than it is in DC. Dear god, I miss having real craft beer options, and reasonably priced ones at that. The best beer up here is Vienna Lager. The options for real food are much better, too, is the barbecue sandwich still just $12 or whatever it was after they hiked price up from the $8 it used to be? I mean, at the Verizon Center you pay $20 for that.

I will take note tonight and report back.

The new digital signage boards that change from the static painted stuff to overlay of active movement ads is VERY annoying and noticeable and distracting to watch the game. The transitions are pathetically bad and thus very distracting. Numerous times I have had my concentration broken as it seemed like something was happening only for it to be a stupid active gif of a tire speeding around the boards or something else just as stupid…

this Colorado Chicago games is just sad. Its bad for the league. Not that i expected any different.

Chicago players are tripping over each over. Colorado is scoring PP goals at will.

I get celebrating the SC champ but it needs to be a better matchup if it a national TV game.

I can’t imagine Kane wanting to stick around more than a week with this squad

Seth Jones is getting paid a lot of money to sit outside the zone on the power play.
Kane is looking at him like “are you serious right now bro?”

It reminds me of Mike Trout watching his pitcher tip his pitches and he is yelling at him from the outfield. Just see the disgust of why am I here on his face.

I also like people arguing the validity of trade values one game into the season on the main board.

Too bad we can't and won't get Patrick Kane (money and contract extension concerns/just being a rental). We've loaded up on other good veterans after all, and having another great top 6 forward I think would be important for this team.

We'd be better off looking elsewhere anyway.

Matt Murray is absolute cheeks. Dubas is a clown.

Too early to say that, but Matt Murray is not a risk that I personally would've taken for a team that NEEDS, desperately, to get out of the first round of the playoffs. I honestly think it would've been smarter to just keep Mrazek and not waste a late first-early second swap.

So about the reasonably priced part... yeaaaaaah that's gone now. Was walking along the concourse before the game and saw that a large craft beer was like $15 now.

Nope. That's a hell of a lot of pregaming for me in the lot before games now. I think it was maybe 11 a piece at Charlotte FC games this past season, and the selection was comparable if not a bit better. And I still only did beer at those games during rain delays.

Hawks POV, one game closer to Bedard…

LOL Vancouver and Hab fans lose their minds when their young players score a goal. The big difference:
-Vancouver goes on a 3 game winning streak, their fans come out of the woodwork and declare them future cup winners
-Habs go on a 3 game losing streak they're going to draft a few GOATS(AINEC) and become future cup winners

Parking is now $30 to park all the way near the State practice field. I am probably not going to many games because of that.
I remember when parking cost more than a ticket. When we sucked I could get tickers for like 15.00 and parking was 20.

Its kind of sad now, 30.00 to park, tickets, leaves nothing for that 15.00 beer. And you cant even smuggle shit in anymore because gate security is like the TSA. I suppose we could put something in the wife's purse in a bottle or something but.... lame.

I ain't paying 25 bucks for a beer and a popcorn after getting raped on parking.

Just to reiterate, free parking is like 100 yards away from there.

Edit: but this really does highlight the need for alternative options. Those fairgrounds lots are going to get overrun if this cost inflation continues. Same thing over at Wade Park last night… there was such a huge traffic jam on Trinity that people were bailing and parking over there instead, and it got pretty close to capacity in the lot and deck. With bigger crowds fleeing the $30 lots, it’s only a matter of time before those off-site options stop being free. Throw in inflated tickets and food, at some point the costs add up to an unreasonable total.
