I hate these f***ing shiny helmets...
So sue me, I actually like 'em. Maybe not for every game, but they're not for every game. A team named for royalty should have some glitz. They add another visual dimension that's fun and different.

Also, my cat dedicated about 5 minutes of sustained attention to watching hockey, which is the most she'll probably do all season. Maybe it was the shiny helmets. (She sometimes actually watches football, which is hilarious, but gets irritated and generally leaves to do something else when the game goes to commercial).

That's about how I feel. But I like to see different shit once in a while.

Are you rich? If so, then I'm in!

They want the glitz of royalty? Go back to the purple unis.

Some Bally's intern will forget to close their incognito tab and put pornhub all over the boards.

Oh man you know that's coming one day. :DD

(pun not intended)

Wait...did you just add that second paragraph?

It is a great failing of my cats that they pay zero attention to sports of any kind.

TB suspending Ian cole over a random accusation from a twitter account that is one day old, with no followers, and appears to be made soley for the purpose of said accusation, is f***ing laughable.

I wonder. If the same accusation was made against a star player, in the same suspect manner, would the response be the same? What about if said accusation was leveled during a playoff run.

In our society, the accused should be granted the benefit of implied innocence until evidence is presented. Random twitter posts by accounts made to make such posts are apparently now the standard. I hope Carolina reacts better in the case something like that is done against our player.

Gee, I wonder why someone would want to create a burner account to make an accusation like she did. It certainly couldn't be because the internet has shown, time and time again, that random internet strangers will fling the most vile shit at you when you draw any attention to yourself, especially if you're a woman. And it's better to have that shit being thrown at a burner account than her main one?

Nah, that makes too much sense.

Or it could be say.... a pissed wife or lover trying to exact revenge, because there aren't a million attorneys on the planet willing to represent someone who has sexual accusations against a pro athlete or celebrity of any kind, pro bono, because politics and money.... If it were legit... Which is may be, and may not be. Nah, that makes too much sense.

But suspending people over rando new account twitposts is dangerous territory. Something akin to, IDK, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords as a system of government, only worse. Perhaps we can weigh him against a duck. It makes about as much sense.
