That zibanejad goal was filthy. The digital ads on the board are so weird, especially since when they cut to a closer up camera you dont see them anymore just the actual painted ads on the boards. Its disorienting
Much like with must other ads, I noticed them at first, and I did notice the first time they switched angles and they weren't there as you mentioned. And then, I kinda just watched the games.

I didn't really notice them til part way through the game, and then didn't really pay attention to them again.

That Zibanejad goal was filthy though. He was phenomenal last night.

Or it could be say.... a pissed wife or lover trying to exact revenge, because there aren't a million attorneys on the planet willing to represent someone who has sexual accusations against a pro athlete or celebrity of any kind, pro bono, because politics and money.... If it were legit... Which is may be, and may not be. Nah, that makes too much sense.

But suspending people over rando new account twitposts is dangerous territory. Something akin to, IDK, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords as a system of government, only worse. Perhaps we can weigh him against a duck. It makes about as much sense.
It took 2 days from the tweet being posted (tagging Tampa and the NHL) for the Lightning to suspend Cole with pay. ie we're going to pay you to sit at home while we try and figure out what the hell happened. Hardly a life or career threatening act. I'm guessing they are a little more on top of what is going on then we are on this message board and feel confident that there is enough there to warrant an investigation.

Rangers have such a great PP with Fox and Panarin passing. No wonder why Kreider scores so many goals. Trocheck is going to rack up points on that unit.
Is he though? Zib is the shooter, Kreider’s the cleanup crew, and Panarin and Fox are playing catch. Not that he won’t have an important role on it, I just don’t know how many points it will translate to.

Philly already started delivering, as instead of the normal suits the Flyers will be wearing on their road trips streetwear clothes by Ville Leino's clothes brand Billebeino.

Previously from Billebeino, we remember his gear inspired by his time with Buffalo Sabres.

I have never understood the suit thing. They are athletes not C level execs. I am so thankful I hardly ever had to even wear a tie when I was a working stff. Fug flying with one.

Honestly these jackets are sick. If they had Canes branded ones I'd be all for buying one. I just went into the eye at the STH event and there's not one piece of apparel I was intrigued to buy, outside of a new jersey.

@sabremike Fill me in on this guy? I really know nothing about Mattias. Good deal? Bad deal?

I think we’ll see this trend more. Teams trying to get a head of the curve before they gain value.

With the cap going up, even lower end 4 D will get close to 5 million AAV. Ifhe doesn’t pan out, a 800k buyout will be less that 1 percent of the cap. No harm no foul.

Yes, similar risk to the Kotkaniemi extension. But they only have 2 more years to evaluate before he turns 25 in March 2025 and the buyout goes up to 2/3, so less time to make that move than Carolina has. Yes, he's 3 months older than Kotkaniemi, but the July 1 cutoff gives Carolina one more season to evaluate.

The amazing thing to me is that they signed him to a this 7 year extension, and he's still waiver exempt. Buffalo could (won't, but could!) send him down to the minors with no risk this year.

Edit: Also, this was the reaction around the NHL in 2017 when Carolina signed Slavin for 7 years and Pesce for 6 years, wasn't it? They had a larger sample size, but they are a huge part of Carolina's cap flexibility now.

Edit again: not as much as I thought, there is a much larger positive reaction on the main board to those contracts than I remembered from 2017.

He’s certainly the 5th option. I think he’s going to get a lot of assists just from touching the puck, deflections or shooting and having Kreider clean up rebound s.

By the end of the season that deal is going to look like a bargain, he's the real deal.

And I would buy the hell out of it. The stuff they have for sale now is just too loud.

It makes more sense when you realize that every item is priced at around $10.
The actual cost on a cup of soda is about a dime US. A bin of popcorn *might* cost a quarter or so, only because of the fake butter. The costs on the actual meal items are far higher, and $10 for a sandwich alone is plenty reasonable these days, but $10 for a soda or popcorn is very, very, very much not.

The syrup might be a dime.

You have any idea how much money it costs to thaw the ice in Edmonton to get water for that soda?

Oh I didn’t say reasonable, just that it makes sense.

Popcorn at PNC is, what, like $8 or so these days? A soda is something like $6. Adjust for Canadian dollars and we’re paying pretty comparable prices to the ones above.

Is it that high at PNC these days? Holy crap. Can't say I've ever bought popcorn there, and haven't bought a soda there for over a decade. I do know the beer is still a lot cheaper (and better) than it is in DC. Dear god, I miss having real craft beer options, and reasonably priced ones at that. The best beer up here is Vienna Lager. The options for real food are much better, too, is the barbecue sandwich still just $12 or whatever it was after they hiked price up from the $8 it used to be? I mean, at the Verizon Center you pay $20 for that.
