Oh it is lol. It’s fine though. I actually don’t want that pressure and we play well on the roadGuys I think the dream of the division title is dead.
Wc spot doesn’t bother me

Guys I think the dream of the division title is dead.
Shaping up to be another worst possible OOT tonight, ugh.
They're out of gas. What's wrong with Tampa? 3-5-2 in their last ten games.

You're far more optimistic than I am. Division title was out of reach for me since the new year. The only team that seems to be losing every now and again is Seattle. Since the AS break, LA is 10-2-2, Vegas is 12-2-2, Seattle is 8-7-2. The Oilers are 8-5-4. They might catch Seattle but even 2nd is getting to be unlikely.Guys I think the dream of the division title is dead.
If we had even a semblance of goaltending....You're far more optimistic than I am. Division title was out of reach for me since the new year. Ottawa taking tonight off it seems.
It doesn't really matter. All these opponents are pretty similar level and home ice doesn't mean much. Just get into the dance and go from there. If we had even a semblance of goaltending....
Finishing in the WC should be unacceptable but I wonder if facing Dallas is really all that bad.
It'd be nice to face Seattle but sadly that isn't going to happen. It's amazing how shitty the OOT scoreboard has been the last couple of weeks. None of these teams lose and when they do, it's either in OT or shootout (like L.A./Nashville last night in particular).
It doesn't matter because the Oilers need to just focus on winning games but it doesn't make it any less annoying.

NHL wanted to Vegas to win and they are doing anything they can to make sure they do. Same for Seattle & LA.Guys I think the dream of the division title is dead.
NHL wanted this and they are getting it. NHL wants to control who goes into the playoffs for marketing purposes as well to please ESPN/TNT. You really think those two networks enjoy coming up here? no.like 3 days ago, the Jets were gonna choke away a playoff spot to the Flames, now they're gonna run down the Oilers...lol
hilarious

LA hasn't gotten goaltending either but they smother and choke the shit out of teams. If we had even a semblance of goaltending....

If they finish in the WC, it's likely Dallas or Vegas. Neither seem scary at all to me. WC, win division, 2nd or 3rd. Meh, it doesn't matter much. Just get in and anything can happen. It'd be nice to face Seattle but sadly that isn't going to happen.
Dallas doesn't scare me even with Ottengir.
This team has the potential to go far in the playoffs but it really comes down to what kind of goaltending they get. They don't even need elite goaltending, just passable and they can outscore anyone. If they finish in the WC, it's likely Dallas or Vegas. Neither seem scary at all to me. WC, win division, 2nd or 3rd. Meh, it doesn't matter much. Just get in and anything can happen.
The bottom line is that this was a good team before and they now added a top pairing D and 3rd/4th line C so the Oilers are at the point where they shouldn't be scared to play anybody whereas in the past, there seemed to be a ceiling on how far they could go.
If you're scared of dallas you don't deserve to be in playoffs. Doesn't matter who we play, they are all good teams and if we want to go far then who cares who we play or where we finish. We play better on the road anyway.
