They still have strong defensive numbers. Both goalies are sub .900

Defensive number don't show everything... just watch tonight goal... statistically doesn't loom as bad but hell watch all those horrible turnover...

Imposible to do anything on 1st

2nd turnover and gave up a free shot right in the slot

3nd goal an other horrible turnover and gave up a free one timer because both goes on the same player in a 2v2

4nd goal rebound and his own D

5rd its a 1v3 battle for rebound in front of the net and hatthaway won it...

Everything is about a terrible D whatever what the stats telling

Florida's goaltending has certainly not been good, but people are underestimating how much they lost on defense in the off-season. It's what the salary cap does to winners. The Leafs will likely be in that spot in a couple of years.

Hockey really only gets 750k? Even with an American team and Toronto?

Is sportsnet only that?

I’m pretty sure that’s Canadian viewers only.

They missed the mark there. They should be experimenting with global on Leafs

The national rights to these games have been leased out by Sportsnet to Prime. The NHL isn’t really involved and this is Rogers attempt to make some money back after overpaying on the TV deal. They legally couldn’t take it international.

Tonight they've been awful, no doubt about that. But your goalie also has to make some saves and can't have every turnover end up in the back of the net. When a team is down big, they're gonna press and create chances.

He was awful vs PIT a couple of days ago as well

When your D is trash and put your goalie in pretty bad situation too much... For sure that will impact his game... after couple of game like that will start to affect their confidence and will start to create some mental issue and make him even worst. Its a pretty bad circle for a goalie.

Pratically every time i watched florida game this season, oh boy the D wasn't look good at all... it was happening when youre losing 2 of your 4 best D with nobody to replace them

A lot of suckage on display tonight. Nashville still can't score they shutout, Philly allows 7, Sharks allow 8, and Columbus is currently getting blown out,

Only one third of the season done but I have a hard time seeing the 8 other team in the east getting in. The bottom 4 in the Atlantic are in a never-ending rebuild and the bottom 4 in the Metro are bad.

Atlantic division looks like it always does, I see...

My gut tells me that the third spot is going to be the Battle of the Aging Rosters.
