We also have one of the most road-heavy finishes in the league though. It's not going to be easy.

The Leafs have never had a real opportunity to win it because one or two of the big three were always very strong teams.

The Leafs will win the division by a big margin. Their remaining schedule is pretty easy.

I don't have anything against the Wings but I can't help but feel a little schadenfreude about this thread:

Not too many problems in Red Wings land these days.
The wins keep stacking up and some younger players are earning bigger roles!

But there is one big problem. It will be interesting to see what happens here and how quick the team moves to address this.

It doesn’t take an advanced scout to realize Holl is struggling terribly. The average fans heart is skipping beats every time Holl gets a shift.

With Petry out long term , I don’t think a serious team can continue to have Holl in the lineup for the next 2 months.

Not to pile on the guy. But what is the solution here ? Anyone still...

Ottawa will go on a 4 or 5 game losing streak. it's what all of the bubble teams do.

Honestly the easy wild card race is incredible this year so far. So many teams have been in and out, and only really buffalo is out of it at this point

Scary thing is whomever makes it will be battle hardened.

I agree with evilhomer, Ottawa will stumble (a little bit) but I had them picked as a WC team just by the addition of Ulmark. Hasn't exactly played out that way but I stand by my prediction. TB takes 3rd in the division.

Btw, Toronto won a division title - Canadian division, covid year. It counts, or did TB not win back to back cups? Did we not lose to the habs in 2021? If those things happened, then we won a division title.
Ottawa won't win a division title in the Matthews era before Toronto because they can't.
