Cougars fans - how concerned are you the team dropped all 3 games against Portland... some in pretty bad fashion?

I was at the game on Saturday in Portland. PG was the far better team in the first, but looked gassed in the 3rd.
Might be homerism but I think they can beat those guys. Just need to play 60 minutes. Now that they know what guys they have back, the team will start to gel again. I was pretty pissed after Wednesdays game though not gonna lie.

Saturdays game against Kelowna was painful, regardless of how bed the refs were they can't expect to win the west this year if they keep choking away leads like that. It was like they just gave up in the final 2 minutes.

It wasn't just the final minutes. We only had 4 shots in the first, and 7 in both the 2nd and 3rd. Friday we set a season low in shots at 23, then Saturday one upped it at 18 shots. We need to get pucks to the net if we want a shot at the western banner.

Yeah that is a good point, not having Heidt & Lajoie hurts but that still was a game they should have won. Cougars seem to play down to their opponent at times & Ravensbergen hasn't found his form from last year yet. He has been very up & down this year.

What's the Cougars biggest need to shore-up? Whether a hole in the roster or a systems/mental deficiency.

Definitely something off with the system, getting outshot 41-65 in 2 games against kelowna is horrendous. Seems to me like they have been relying on talent to get them by so far this year, which will get them to the playoffs but I don't think it will win them anything.

This loss against Seattle was so frustrating, team wins 8 of 9 then rolls over against the worst team in the western conference.

Ravensbergen with a couple of softies, letting a bad angle shot through and then bobbles the puck gifting Seattle a 2 goal lead. Cougars don’t look like themselves until there is two minutes left and by then it’s too little too late. Aghhhhhhhhh

This team frustrates me. They seem like they should be a more dominate team, and while they get their wins, it often seems more challenging then it should be. I think I have over estimated their depth.
Laing should absolutely not be playing in the top 6, Shurgot is a passenger at best playing with Heidt and should be playing on the 3rd line rather than the first.

Another top 6 forward is needed as well as a top 4 Dman. Idk what happened to Dumanski, somehow he’s taken a giant step back in a year where they needed him to step into a bigger role.

Wow HUGE move, good to see Lamb is keeping pace with the other contenders.

A 4th round pick is a lot to give up but hopefully he’s worth it

This team has an insane amount of talent and potential but they have a lot of work to do if they want to make it past the 2nd round this year. I really hope they do some soul-searching this week before going to play the 2 big dogs in the states.

What's the difference between the hit Riche received on Saturday and the hit Vaughan threw on Tuesday? Both from the side, both to the head. One is a 10 game suspension and the other doesn't even result in a penalty on the ice.

Because Corbin Vaughan has done almost nothing in his WHL career other than injure other players?

Goldsmith's hit was as clean as can be. Riche poked the puck forward and cut across the middle. Goldsmith lined him up and hammered him. Riche tried to jump at the last moment to brace for impact. That was straight shoulder to chest. Riche was injured on the play which is unfortunate, but watching the video again and slowing it down, it doesn't appear that there was any direct head contact.

Edit: Also for what it's worth, Goldsmith is being suspended for the hit. Not sure how many games yet.
