Buffalo goaltending sucks so much

Can't believe we lost 4-0 to Buffalo and Pittsburgh. How??
It’s not just the goalies. In fact it was the goalie who got them the win against the Flyers in the previous game despite being caved in. They were caved in to start this game too, this time the goalie couldn’t bail them out.

I’ll say it again: The Sabres have absolutely NO idea how to play defense. That’s on the players. It’s also on the coaches.

This is probably good news. I assume they'd know right away if the shoulder was separated so that has to be ruled out.

Unrelated - holy can Dawson Mercer please do something this season? I don't think he has a point yet. I'm holding onto him in fantasy but patience is running thin.
I dropped him. Picked up Dostal 2 weeks ago.

Yeah I don’t know how you can blame the goalie in that Sabres loss. UPL wasn’t spectacular by any means, but no one in a Buffalo jersey was doing anything to challenge Flyers attackers. No sticks in passing lanes, clear paths to the net, no control over the neutral zone whatsoever. That’s before we talk about the turnovers. Any goalie back there has to be the clear-cut Vezina winner for the Sabres to have any shot to make the playoffs.

Why did he even fall? I can't really tell from the replay.

He wasn't off balance, he wasn't tripped, he didn't trip over his own feet, and it didn't look like he toe picked or lost an edge. His legs just gave out after he was slashed on the hands and he fell.

Did he dive to try and draw a call on the slash, and not realize how hard he was gonna go into the boards? The timing on the replay from behind the net makes it look like he fell because of the slash.

Once again, so much hype around Buffalo and Ottawa before the season and both fall flat on their faces to start. Well, actually Buffalo has usually fallen flat after a good start but anyways...

I will be surprised if Granato and/or DJ Smith are still employed after US thanksgiving.

BTW, for all the talk about "adding some snot" for the Leafs during the offseason (Domi, Bertuzzi, Reaves), no-one did f*** all when Marchand launched Liljegren to the boards last night and Liljegren is going to miss significant time now.

Well, Reaves yapped Marchand from the bench but...

I think we need to spend more time talking about the Canucks figuring out a way to put together a team with sustainable shooting percentages not seen since the 80s Oilers.

We're lucky to be alive to see this. Anyone too young to remember Mario Gretzky and prime Roy is in for a treat.

Bouchard is a highly flawed player who produces. Can't be bothered to defend or work hard in front of his own net or on puck retrievals.

At the same time, he should have scored 3 goals last night. Beat Wedgewood 3 times but hit posts.

I think anyone who watched Game 3 of the 2022 WCF should know this by now

I still have no idea how Bouchard/Smith let Compher score that goal, full props to Compher but that should've been the last Oilers shift for either of those guys

I think he definitely toe picked. You can see his left skate at one point does something weird then he falls.

Reaves really needs to shut the f*** up lol. Do something instead of yapping through the reporters. We know you are tough, but just shut up and do it. F

How on Earth could the Sharks end up in such a bad shape?

On top of having by far the worst roster, their prospect pool isn't even top 10 in the league and they have this:

That's terrible on all fronts.

O'Reilly scores twice but only gets credited with one, either way, hat-trick.

Firing the coach and hoping for some of that new coach smell effect might be the only option for Oilers if Holland doesn't want to go for a f*** it-trade, but that's not really his style.
