Maybe I'm late about this but are Leafs using the same goal song as us? Watched a highlight on Matthews hattrick goal and I heard that.
I remember reading that they're changing their goal song for every game this season. Still pretty shitty of them to use a song another team is already using.

Are they pretending they didn’t get in trouble for the one they had chosen to start the year and trying to play it off like it was intentionally changed after one game? Worst coverup ever

:laugh::laugh: That would be hilarious, but I'm pretty sure it was announced before the season started.

Yeah was going to say it. Matthews has 3 hat tricks and is leading the league in goals scored (yes he had some quiet games as well). The Leafs are still barely above .500

You love to see it

This guy seems to be developing a reputation for sitting skilled forwards.

Not that Gaudreau has been doing anything of significance this season, but that's now two highly skilled forwards he's benched in a matter of days.

I think it’s more team defense as a whole than goaltending… Drai is probably the worst defensive forward in the NHL. The Oilers desperately need a Nuke or a Lehky to help take some of the burden off Drai. And they also desperately need some solid bottom 6’er s who can pr any sort of defense from the forward group.

Also a crazy stat I heard the other day, Jack Campbell as actually in the positives for goals saved above expected. That says everything you need to know about the Oilers team defense.
You want to laugh? Go look at Jay Woodcroft's comments about his new defensive system.

Despite all of the goals the Oilers are allowing, his new defensive system is apparently so god damn good that it's only responsible for 1 or 2 goals against.

Sharks down 7-1 again tonight is just wild.

They're goal differential is at -41 right now through 10.666 games. Not only are they about to lose 11 straight, but they're literally losing by an average of 4 goals for every game.

An all time bad team.

Time to check out HFOilers

I've watched a lot of hockey in my life, but I don't think I've ever seen a team allow back-to-back ten goal games.
I still don't know if the Oilers have the absolute worst goaltenders in the league year after year or it's a team defense thing.
Look at McDavid on Predators second goal. Lost in coverage and gave Preds defender all the space and time in the world to line up his shot. Getting better goalers would help, but Bouchard will probably demand 7-8.5 million two years from now considering his production and that will hurt them even further considering how bad defensively he is (he's worse than Nurse IMHO). Their cap structure is messed up for an extremely flawed roster to begin with.

Like, there's no way David Quinn still has a job by noon tomorrow, right? I know the Sharks were supposed to be bad but that's the job performance equivalent of working at a petting zoo and accidentally burning it down.

What the point of replacing him? You're just going to burn another coach doing so.

The team sucks ass.

I mean, you're absolutely right, but if you f*** up your job THAT badly you cannot remain in your position. If you're a lifeguard, and twenty people drown at your pool in two days, even if the people who drowned were extremely stupid you still have to be fired.

Why would you fire Quinn? That team needs a couple 1st overalls on it and he's the perfect tank coach as far as I am concerned. The real problem is why do you suck as much as you possibly can for this draft class when Bedard was available last year? That's the part that makes zero sense to me...
