I expect things will eventually regress to the norm, but nobody could've predicted Vancouver and Montreal being the 2 best Canadian teams 10 games into the season.
Vancouver is not that surprising IMO.

They've got a legitimately deep forward group. The defense is pretty rough and I dont think Demko is very good personally. They should be easy work in the playoffs, but they're built to be a good regular season team honestly.

Montreal on the other hand, yeah they'll regress.

Man seriously though when you actually look at the Sharks roster, it isn't even surprising. I had no idea they were this f***ing terrible. Like I knew they were a bottom 5 team, but legit I only count ~4 legit NHL caliber players on that roster at this point. Hertl and Duclair are basically the only two guys on that roster who are anything more thant depth level players.

If I'm Tomas Hertl I'm requesting a trade after tonight.

I'll take Fabian Zetterlund from them for Drouin.

Also this is a serious question and not a joking matter, will San Jose win a game this year?
Pre-breakout MacKinnon, rookie Rantanen, and maybe even prime Tyson Barrie on that 2016-17 Avs team were all significantly better players than anybody on the Sharks roster today outside of Hertl. That is a shockingly dismal roster, they're going to suck so bad they'll preemptively win next year's draft lottery, too.

f*** off Edmonton. Would it kill you to win a damn game for once and keep the Stars from climbing up the Central.
better to see the Oikers lose lol

Has Vegas played any good teams yet? Seems like they’ve been playing all the bad to mediocre teams and all of them at home so far
They are gonna spank the Avs.

Sit Byram and Makar and let them have this meaningless game

Bouchard is the knock off version of John Carlson. He makes a good first pass, great shot, good offensive instincts, but even worse defensively. He’s also seen as cerebral, but his motor non-existent.

Oilers fans thought he was going to be one of the best in the league, but they’re probably coming to terms with what he is now. He needs sheltering. He’s not a guy you can rely on to carry a pairing let alone a defence.

Nah, rather see Edmonto lose.

Never understood why Hertl stayed there in the first place. I guess the offer was too good. It's nice place to live I guess.
