Around the League - 2023/24

Roy is not the end all be all of coaches, but he isn't as terrible as many made him out to be. What is interesting is he didn't get that new coach bump and instead all the underlying changed and has slowly creeped up to where the results were not following what was happening on the ice. Now the results are starting to come. I don't know if it will hold, but I'm very intrigued at what will happen to finish the season and next season.

I was curious to see if the seven years away from the game had him grow and evolve any, as I felt his tactics and approach were dated even back then. It appears that might be the case.

Now we'll see what happens going forward, because Lamoriello needs to do some serious upgrading to that roster. It's just not good enough.
 
It sucks for both fanbases that the Ullmark for PLD swap was nixed because of a NTC.

Now Boston will go in the playoffs without a top 6 center and the Kings without a goalie. :laugh:

Sadly we would need a miracle for Vegas to drop out from playoffs. The teams behind them are bad.

Because as admirable Coyle and Zacha have played, neither has the upside of PLD. GMs get horny for that. I guarantee LA will be able to move PLD if they keep trying. Some GM will delude himself into thinking "our culture" can fix him. Boston probably thought the Bruins organization could fix a guy who has now seemingly quit on 3 different teams.

Also the fact that they don't have the assets to get a top 6 center and they absolutely need one.
