Kid looks burnt out already. Did not look like he wanted to fight Reaves but obliged to not look like a coward. He just locked his elbow and used his reach to make sure Reaves didn’t land any bombs.

They didn't bring him up for fighting. He's a pretty damn good 4th liner. He can actually skate, which is crazy for a dude that tall.

Pretty sure Reeves wanted a piece of Rempe after that and told him he needs to answer the bell from that hit. You can clearly see Rempe looking at the bench to get the OK from the coaches, no doubt someone in the organization has told him not to engage in every fight.

They don't look great today. But goaltending is far and away their biggest issue, they underperforming their XGA by a ton and all their goalies are wayyyyy into the negatives in GSAA. I think the team and defense may be a bit raw to win a cup this year, but not addressing the goalie position is a major failure for the Devils this year.

Josh Manson is very deliberate in his physical play. He doesn't just start slashing guys in the hands randomly.
Bedard's lesson isn't to play through it. It's to stop trying to play agitator as a star.
