Sucks for MacK that as well as he's playing, McJesus is going to pass him in points within the next few weeks.
Yea he's 3rd now.

He'll be #1 in 2 weeks at the most which is insanity considering how well Mack and Kucherov have played and how far behind McDavid was just a couple of weeks ago.

It would be one thing if Mack and Kuch went cold but they didn't and he's still gonna pass them in no time

I actually looked into this.

6 games ago the gap was 7 points.

Now it is 8 points. MacKinnon hasn't been slowing down.

Now, I believe 97 eventually overtakes him but I think it'll be a lot longer than 2 weeks.

God, if Fitzgerald does not swing a deal to get a legit starting goaltender he should be fired into the sun. Absolutely ridiculous the riches he has at his disposal, the insane amount of talent on that roster, and the garbage they got between the pipes right now. They have Hughes AND Nemec playing insanely good as rookies right now, and frankly if the numbers are to be believed they should sell high on Holtz and Mercer before its too late.
Based on everything I've read thats seemingly going to be addressed this year.

McDavid seems to have amazing luck with his health. I know he is one of the best skaters and elusive but it still surprises me he doesn’t get hurt more.

McDavid had a pretty rough start (by his standards) and he still has the same PPG as Mack (1.61). It won't be long at all.

Can’t get hurt when you constantly cherry picking and not doing much back checking or engaging physically
Yeah:laugh:

I mean Cale is really good at side stepping or spinning to avoid checks. So is Girard but they still both get caught at times. Maybe it’s harder for Defensemen but i don’t really buy that. When you are dumping and chasing the guy who gets there first usually takes the hit. That can easily be either guy.

Cale throws big checks and plays physical sometimes. Girard got physical yesterday and killed Bortuzzo who’s much bigger than G. I don’t think I’ve ever seen McDavid throw a body check on someone

If MacKinnon continues at his current pace, McDavid won't pass him. 29 is on pace for 131 points.

He needs to play at a 1.74 ppg pace just to match that, which aside from last season he had never done.

McDavid going insane isn't enough. He also needs MacKinnon to slow down.

More likely MacKinnon slows down than Mcd though.

These PWHL games have been fun
Been meaning to try and catch one. Are they broadcasted on TV or available for streaming?

It would be wonderful if this iteration of the women's game is the one that sticks and grows. The timing is right, I just hope folks are patient because this could be huge for getting more kids involved in hockey.

Mackinnon is going to break after the All-Star break.

I would love ensuring that the leagues stars all play in each city more than once a year. You want to grow the game. Get the stars out in as many cities as often as possible. Give kids the chance to see them more than once a year.

I would be perfectly fine with a completely league wide balanced schedule. In fact, I'd be fine with the regular season being limited to 62 games with the assumption that we increase the playoffs to 20 teams, which would make it five rounds long instead of 4.
Stars playing twice in each city means 4 game series against each 31 other teams. That's a 124 games season.
