GDT: Around the League 2023-24 I : "Wake Up. September Has Ended!"

It doesn't really bother me that there aren't any games tonight. What bothers me is that everyone is playing on the same day. 14 games in one day is ridiculous. I can only watch one.

NBA has it right. 7-8 games per night almost every day.

NHL is trying so much to be like the NFL, but they fail to realize that the NFL has 3 time slots, not 2. Plus the NFL actually has a readily available redzone package that works very nicely.

Lucic did not speak at his arraignment Tuesday morning. A plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf, and a pretrial hearing was set for Jan. 19. As condition of his bail, Lucic was prohibited from abusing the alleged victim and from consuming alcohol.

I had to read this 10 times. So is there times where the accused is allowed to abuse the alleged victim? Like WTF

The Canadian teams could play. It’s US Thanksgiving. Not North America Thanksgiving. We don’t GAF about their day to eat a Turkey and spend their brains out on Friday.

Bettman can f*** all the way off.

3 all around 5-9 years of age at that time and I was travelling 125+ days a year in my position. Wife hated me. (now she just tolerates me).

Spector is third on the list of the worst reporters of all time in hockey MSM, above only Eric Francis and Damien Cox but leaking DMs is what 10 year olds do.

Tim Peel is water trash.

I’m different I guess. I would never publicly “out”someone’s DMs sent to me unless it was something like being clearly criminally in its intent. And if then, it would be to authorities only.

Beyond that if someone want to take a heated discussion with me off line from a chat forum to one on one DMs, I respect that happening and would respect the private nature of that conversation.

Serevalli taking a potshot at Peel about "drunk tweeting again" is kind of a low blow as I take that as a personal dig if Tim has an alcohol problem. I thought that was pretty unprofessional of Serevalli.

Ya. Regardless of the obvious break in their professional relationship from DFO for whatever reason, again, keep it professional especially for a guy like Frank who is in the public realm.

This whole thing has so many undercurrents to it, it seems.
