I hate Seattle but I may watch a lot of their games because of Forslund and Eddie O…..and VGK will probably suck.

Always had a beauty shot

Kind of surprised Soshnikov is still hanging around. Seem to recall when he came up he took some big crunches and with his narrow shoulders and slim build it didn't feel like he was built for taking the kind of licks he was getting on a regular basis.

He's been in the KHL for the past three years.

He's such a dinosaur. There's no need for physicality.
He doesn't mean be a goon.... he means battle - I'm sure. Most of Matthew's playoffs points were from being physical and most of Marners points were gifts from matthews... which were because Matthew's was physical.

No he means having a team full of Colton Orr, MacLaren, Devane and Rosehill.

Everyone always means strictly goons when they use the P word.

Some will always chase the dream, regardless the cost.

It really might not end well for some of them.

Probably think, "I'm a star here they wouldn't throw me in jail for no reason. And I have a prescription for that!"

Sigh, and you know the finger pointing won't stop when it hits the fan.

Do they really make more in the KHL, than they would in SHL, Liiga etc?

Yes, a lot more.

If you a top-tier guy in the KHL, you are likely making more than the NHL league minimum. Even if you aren't, you are probably making more than the top guys in the SHL (SHL, on the high end, pays about as well as an average two-way NHL contract)... And the Liiga pays even worse.

The only league that somewhat compares in salary to the KHL outside of guys on NHL contracts is the NLA, and even then you are probably making half of what you would make as a similar caliber player in the KHL.

It's just enigma to me how they get paid at the moment, since they're paying in rubles at Russia. No one basicly changes any rubles to any currency at the moment, it is worthless so it doesn't help to get 1 million dollars on rubles. You can't get it out of Russia and if they pay with their Russian rate it isn't realistic to get paid that dollar amount.

Though for players the security is the big risk at the moment, if shit really hits the fan, they have target in their back.

Hard to fathom the thought process or advice given to an athlete to choose to go to the KHL this season.

Damn it looks like Dermott might have a significant concussion, just when it looked like was going to get his first real legit chance at being a permanent top-4 dman.

That sucks.

I have never seen a 2-0 in OT in a playoff game. So many wrong with that sentence.

Another player who gets to live in NHL because Habs fans turn them into GODs

Playoff elimination game, just to twist the knife a little.

That's brutal for Dermott. Our former Leafs out in Vancouver are not having a good time.

Galchy released from his PTO by the Avs today.

Wonder if that guy wishes he had a mulligan on Dubas’ declined offer…..

Guy had some pretty good chemistry with Kerfoot and Nylander against the Habs.

Sandin, take note……. :)
