Its so annoying being a leafs fan and trying to discuss anything hockey on the internet.

Talk about a bad contract? Well you can guarantee someone coming in being like "LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLLLLLLLLLLL YOU OVERPAID MATTHEWS AND MARNER LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL JT" (as if i had some sort of control over the negotiations myself)

Not high on a team doing well in the playoffs? "LOLLL DONT TALK UNTIL THE LEAFS WIN A ROUND"

Mention a player leaving a team? "LMAO CANT WAIT TILL MATTHEWS WALKS IN 2 YEARS"

Can't show the slightest optimism without being hit with 1967, 4-1, 1st round etc etc.

Not to mention the countless people that make their entire identity about hating the Leafs. Theres so many of them on HF its cringe. Theres a Canucks fan with the username on here "Kyle Dubas is a Geek". Like man, how childish do you have to be lmao. I'm also willing to bet that person is over 30 years old so it makes it even more cringe.
You mean on this board where half the fans are haters from other teams using their alternate identities (that they tell us we would be banned immediately and permanently if we as Leaf fans ever tried it).

I see it. A lot of people see it.
Yet those of us who see it are the ones who get suspended from the board for pointing that out.

I would be fun to have a real discussion without the GM coming up once.

Philly needs a proper rebuild at this point
Yet they were the ones that did this last one "properly" and "built from the net out". Like there is some magic formula that always defines successful rebuild. They had Hart and tons of promising dman, but still they stagnated and end up to that limbo of mediocrity.

You're right that there's no formula for success. Sometimes picks don't pan out the way you want them too ect.

I don't see that roster doing anything of significance though. At the very minimum they'd need a few major roster shakeups.

As much as I might have preferred him over Kerfoot in the lineup, taking cap into consideration, his opportunity in Colorado is much more than we could have given him.

With Rodrigues signed, that really takes all of the useful UFA forwards off the table... so anyone looking to make changes now, is likely going to have to do it by trade, which starts to open up the window to move Kerfoot, if desired.

The Scotia Bank logo on the Leafs sweater doesn't look that bad. This looks completely out of place :

What's your thoughts on ads on sweaters?

Thanks for Egor Korshkov, Mark Hunter

Jordan Kyrou or Debrincat would have been nice....But why do we need then, Korshkov and Rasanen are the ways to go
Leafs weren't the only team to pass on those players.
You'll find examples of that in every draft.

A bad dressing room already... yeah let's add this coach....
This is classic Torts, in a good way. He will tear the guys down and build them up entirely his way. It'll get worse before it gets better, but he's inheriting a mess.

He's the perfect coach for that situation, but probably the opposite of what that franchise actually needs at this point, directionally. He'll get more out of them than most coaches in this league. In the right situation the guys a weapon.
