Imagine if they picked Michkov. The Montreal Smurfs.
Caufield/Newhook/Michkov, Tom Wilson could TKO all 3 of them at same time with one little slap lmao.

Probably nothing, but it might be a better topic to discuss than trading our core players for DeBrincat (which would not be necessary in the first place )

Our org told McTavish to not participate at Dev camp because of the long season he had, which included winning MVP and gold at the WJC-20, from Aug 9 - 20th. Plus, McTavish was there the previous year.

Similar thing with Cutter having a really long season and participated at last year's Dev camp.

I did not know this tidbit, from BroadStreetBuzz:

There is also a rule with collegiate players that a team can only cover the cost of coming to development camp one time. If a player is invited and wants to attend after that, they would need to cover the costs themselves. That includes any transportation, food, or a place to stay will attending camp. This could’ve played into things with Gauthier as well. He was in attendance at last year’s development camp so he used up his one allowed Flyers-paid camp. It’s likely not easy for a college player to be able to cover the cost of everything on his own so it would make sense if that was another reason.

I wonder if a player could pick up the tab since there is a distinct difference between players and team management. Somebody would easily give him a place to stay, food, and limo service. Add a plane ticket and everything is covered.

The whole issue shouldn’t really be an issue but it’s the ncaa.

The problem there reported is that Briere apparently din't know about the reason why he didn't attend. One would expect there's a better comuniction with your top prospect

Guess I could have put it in the OT thread as well, but since it’s hockey-related, Puckdoku has been a fun way for me to kill some time during the off-season and todays game is relevant to the people here. If you want a uniqueness score, there’s no shortage of obscure shouts in our column

8/9 because Teemu apparently doesn't count for ANA/WPG.

He doesn't, because the current WPG franchise is not the same as the previous one that moved to Phoenix and became the Coyotes. What happened with previous franchises isn't the same as the current ones.

Also, Perreault.

Yeah, I got that when it failed and picked MP22 instead.

Do you know how hard it is to spell "Perreault" at 4am while high on Nyquil and waiting for your fever to break? After I did the ducks column I went back to sleep in anticipation of finishing it during the day only to find they refreshed it and I was expected to figure out a former Lightning and Sabres player

There's also a hockeygrid.com if you want to frustrate yourself further.

I could not believe I overlooked Frenchy, but fortunately, ex-Thrashers are also included, so I had to scramble to figure out which version of "Evgeny" I needed to use and how to spell "Artyukhin." Him, Dan Ellis (Carolina), and Brendan Morrison (Vancouver) were all sub-1% pulls, I hunted the uniqueness score in that grid.

Immaculate grid for baseball and puckdoku are really neat. You just never know when you might come across a combo that you remember a random player for. today's hockey grid seemed tough with the .930 or above sv. pct. definitely should've had the Sens/Blues player as well but totally spaced.

Logan Brown?

Wasn't Galchenyuk one of the "success stories" Cronin talked about as far as his AHL coaching gig last year?
