Buffalo has actually done well with the Eichel trade. Tuch is over a point per game, they got Ostlund with the 1st round pick and got Krebs and a 2nd round pick in 2023. It also appears their team morale is better without Eichel.
It also works out because Tuch grew up a fan of the Sabres so he'll probably sign a contract extension as i believe he has only 2 years left with the 7 year deal he signed in 2018.
Personally i'd take the weather in Buffalo over Vegas, it has always felt like its 100F all year round in Vegas and if you need to gamble just drive to Atlantic City.

And they're still pretty bad.

Although, if they're still this bad next year than that'd be pretty amazing. It'd be pretty hard to blow it with the current crop of talent they have in their system

If there's any team I'd back to blow it, it would be Buffalo

Buffalo has so many young studs (underrated ones too), they are set for the next decade. We are nowhere near them in terms of young talent NHL/prospects. That Tage deal is game-breaking for their franchise... Dahlin is turning into what he was hyped to be. They got the Power, Krebs, Cozens, Quinn, Kulich, Rosen, Ostlund, Levi, Savoie and Mittelstadt (who actually looks like he's putting things together lately) plus they have decent players on their roster like Tuch. They are probably the second team I watch the most of.

That’s what happens when you tank for a decade. :dunno: I’d rather Anaheim start turning the ship next season, and not spend a decade like them rebuilding.

Might be that just the West is so bad lol. Would be interesting to see our record vs East
