why did Brown even get a statue? it's not like he's a hall of famer or anything. just seems like the Kings wanting to stroke their own ego
 
When Josh Doan plays against the Ducks for the first time i wonder if Fowler will shoot a puck at him to return the favor Shane Doan did to him.

i'd be surprised if josh doan makes the NHL. he's not exactly lighting it up at the NCAA level, but he'll probably get a cup of coffee just as a favor to daddy

That's exactly what it is, Phil Anschutz is fellating himself. Also to the bolded, his primary contribution for all of these honors is being the captain for the two Stanley Cup championship teams, which is cool and all... except the franchise stripped him of the C two years later and gave it to Kopitar. Jersey retirement is whatever, but to put him out on Star Plaza with legitimate Laker legends and Gretzky is something else.

Yeah that's the worst part of it. You have 4 all time NBA greats and Gretzky and then Dustin effing Brown. Brown's statue should have been put at the Kings practice facility.

The awkward moment Sanderson has almost as many points as Byfield in 10 less games

 
The Kings must have been inspired by the need to satisfy the ordinary with the statue of Brown. Perhaps every time you walk by there will be a motion sensor that will play "Fanfare for the Common Man" (Aaron Copland ). And even that is too good in my opinion.

Then there is the combined nhl career point total of Byfield and Turcotte. #5 overall in 2019 + #2 overall in 2020 have less combined points than #3 overall in 2021.

What stands out to me is the lack of hockey sense in Byfield. He's so big and fast but sucks.

McTavish has such a good hockey sense that imagine what he would be like if he was 6'5 with elite skating speed.
